Wow. I just don’t see that. I always think the cats can win but I try to be realistic. But if this Weber team beats us by 2 tds I’ll be shocked. And that’ll be a huge letdown for this program.

I think I’d actually pick the cats to cover. If cats play sound defense, cover kicks and don’t turn the ball over, I’m not sure Weber has the firepower to put a lot of points on the board.
Assuming SDSU is healthy, I’ll take the jackrabbits and the points. That looks like easy money to me.

So that's two things they have wrong about our game, the location and the score.

There’s only one QB who has the ability to throw into a window on the entire roster, and he doesn’t know the offense well enough (which is normal).wbtfg wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 11:18 amYou answered part of the question, but there are two parts to the equation. Can with WR's get separation, and do we have a qb who can throw into a tight window?mslacatfan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 10:21 am
I actually really like our WR group this year. Before the season started, most people thought they would be a weak link on the team.... If we had a more traditional/passing QB, I think this group of WR's would be putting up some big numbers. Can you imagine the numbers Kassis would be putting up if he had a passing QB like EWU/UC Davis/Idaho State, I think Kassis is as good as anyone.
anyway, to answer your question. yes. especially Travis Jonsen, he is more athletic than probably any CB in the league. The question is if he can make the catch though....
Our offense is going to struggle if we don’t get some broken plays.

We’ve been awful on kick returns, and I don’t like our offense at all against Weber. Think Andersen gets picked at least twice.wbtfg wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 4:25 pmI think I’d actually pick the cats to cover. I’m not optimistic. Luckily we have a good defense and Weber’s offense is almost as bad as ours.

Expect to see their RB, James, get to the edge a lot. We’ve struggled there. Up the middle we’re good. On the edge, not so much.

Because their special teams play is excellent, without any hyperbole at all, I would put Troy in on kick off coverage and place him in the middle to limit any explosives on coverage. It would also help him burn some of his "geekness" out before taking the field as a QB!

I get your point but IMO not worth it. If TA goes down our season is over. We CAN weather the and still make the playoffs if we lose to Weber but we'd have to run the table.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 10:05 pmBecause their special teams play is excellent, without any hyperbole at all, I would put Troy in on kick off coverage and place him in the middle to limit any explosives on coverage. Re: Next Up: Weber
That's a very interesting stat, we lead the league in red zone scoring but are last in red zone defense... which surprised me. The SDSU and EWU games really hurt us there. Also, Weber is at the top for red zone D and bottom for red zone scoring. Strength on strength matchup.

Re: Next Up: Weber
Well that's mostly because we don't turn the ball over a lot or get turnovers. I never got red zone scoring efficiency as a very usable stat. Would make more sense to me if it separate FGs and TDs. Holding teams to FGs in the red zone is something that I don't think we've done well this year.catatac wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 12:21 pmThat's a very interesting stat, we lead the league in red zone scoring but are last in red zone defense... which surprised me.
