If the Cats can beat Western Illinois then it is a great opportunity against SDSU.

Re: AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll
Pretty weird that the Griz are picked 25th, ahead of 3 teams who are picked to finish higher than them in the conference coaches poll.

Even the pollsters think because Beavis Hack is back they're worthy of being a top 25 team At least Ben Kercheval with CBS sports got it correct saying the Cats are the best team in the state.

I hope Sneed is mobile , because he could be running for his life this year with the Griz OL (another player retired from the team). If I was playing the Griz I would play the quick short routes and bring the pressure. Don't let Sneed have the time to throw deep and make him run for his life. I can see our defense licking their chops playing against the Griz this year.

We've been the best team in the state two years running.

Yes we have! How many more years before Washington stops supporting the teddy's and pours his money into an investment that will produce positive results?
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Maybe he will invest in bitcoin. A better bet than griz fb...
I have been running into a few griz fans and they are all saying that hauck will be winning BIG immediately.
My comeback to them is that the griz have us beat in two spots. Mens bb and arrests by the fb team.

Re: AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll
Like MSU, Western Illinois is going into the season feeling snubbed by the polls-but they have more of a case because of their last year record and being a playoff team. So they have a chip on their shoulder which makes them dangerous - they are a very good team. SD State can be beat and even though they lost some key performers, they bring back a lot of experience, including a solid quarterback. Cats will have to be efficient on both sides of the ball to get that win on their turf.Anacomando wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 7:12 pmIf the Cats can beat Western Illinois then it is a great opportunity against SDSU.

Also, Western Illinois' schedule starting out is nasty. After MSU, they have Illinois, Montana, Youngstown State, Illinois State and North Dakota State. MSU is a must win for them.Catgotmytung wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:16 pmLike MSU, Western Illinois is going into the season feeling snubbed by the polls-but they have more of a case because of their last year record and being a playoff team. This pretty much ends the debate about strength of schedule and Root Sports including six Griz games. Some of you need to stop reading your own press and embrace reality.

Re: AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll
Ya, took me a bit to realize somebody had bumped last year's poll and I was shocked at the rankings until I figured it out. No way in hell we'll be lower than the dark pink.

Re: AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll
I think we finished the final poll around 15. I’m guessing we’ll go into the 2019 season somewhere very close to that.

Re: AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll
Very excited about this years team. I think we are a top ten team. If we can get an additional really good DT or two then I think we will be very sound at all positions.
