Re: 2018 Captains
Everyone should have been able to guess two of those as they went to the Big Sky kickoff meeting a couple weeks back. As for Kassis, it's been said that he has been a leader during this fall camp, so him being a captain also is a logical choice.

Re: 2018 Captains
I could have seen Sullivan and/or Tucker Yates as well, although Tucker seems like more of your quiet leader, lead by example types. Either way, great choices for captains!

Who picks captains, coaches or players?

Not sure about this time, but in his prior years, Choate picked them. He said in a podcast somewhere last year that it was a "one man vote".

Re: 2018 Captains
All 3 are seniors, correct? Choate has been at MSU 3 years, correct? The "Own the State" motto started with Choate, correct?
Hopefully you can see where I'm going--If your captains are going to be seniors and he hasn't been here long enough to have recruited a senior, then as of now I'd say that motto is a separate thing from who he chooses as captains.

Kassis is a junior. I see three Bobcats who were chosen as team captains who have owned the state the last two years.LTown Cat wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 3:26 pmAll 3 are seniors, correct? Choate has been at MSU 3 years, correct? The "Own the State" motto started with Choate, correct?

Re: 2018 Captains
I stand corrected on Kassis--seems like he's been around for a long time. I remember now that Matt knew of him from Boise.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 3:30 pmKassis is a junior. And I agree with AFCat--they are all Montana--doesn't matter to me.

Re: 2018 Captains
Looks like the players and not Choate picked the Captains this year.

Love the storyline of Alex Neale being a captain, I’m surprised no one asked him about his coach at UNLV.

Wasn’t Tony Sanchez his head coach? Not sure who his o-line coach was.

After further review, you’re right. I was thinking there was some overlap with Bobby.
