Montana State hopes its ability to play more man coverage will help improve the pass rush and the Bobcat defense as a whole.

If you missed the first hour of Friday's show, Ryan Tootell and Colter Nuanez broke down fall camps at Montana Griz Football and Montana State Bobcats, share interviews with UM head coach Bobby Hauck and MSU head coach Jeff Choate and analyze offensive line play in the Big Sky Conference.

And I probably missed something somewhere but Logan Jones? Being held out, or injured?

I'm pretty sure Jones is injured.

One of the questions marks I wanted to look for was RB depth. I came away feeling very good about the current situation. Ifanse, Barkely, and Sumner all looked very good, and all three will get at least 4 games this year. My guess is Tucker will be listed as the starter if he's healthy, otherwise it will be Ifanse. The kid has "feature back" written all over him. Choate indicated Barkley is still learning wrt system and scheme, but make no mistake about it, he is incredible. For several series it was more less the Barkely show.

Was reported a couple of weeks ago that Logan has a hernia of some type. Prognosis wasn't announced.

Choate said on one of the Bobcat Insider podcasts that he has a hernia and the docs were trying to figure out the best approach with either surgery or no surgery. Sounds like Jones elected to go with the no surgery rehab approach. I thought I heard somewhere that it was 6-8 week timetable....
