Not only that, they managed to get someone's attention. I don't know what's more bizarre -- that they're preseason #19, or that in-demand recruits actually know that Austin Peay has a football team.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 1:12 pmMy thoughts exactly.Cledus wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 11:51 amcodecat wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 11:34 am#19 Austin Peay 2018 FCS Preview (Governors)

Although not thought of in the same light as Jacksonville State University or Georgia Southern, I dare say anyone who spent much time at Fort Cambell with the 101st knows about Austin Peay. Both Jacksonville State and GSU tapped into their military population in close proximity and have rich recruiting territories nearby as does Austin Peay. We got to see with Kennesaw State last year what a coaching staff with regional ties can do in a hurry. It's a beautiful campus for what it's worth.Cledus wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 4:19 pmNot only that, they managed to get someone's attention. Kids I went through ROTC with at MSU have remained near Austin Peay after retirement just for the hunting and fishing. Anyway, Tennessee has some pretty decent high school programs as does Georgia, Alabama and Florida which are all close to this campus.

I don’t even know where Austin Peay is, but for some reason I always thought it was in Indiana. Having said that, I still don’t even care enough to look it up.Cat Grad wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 5:02 pmAlthough not thought of in the same light as Jacksonville State University or Georgia Southern, I dare say anyone who spent much time at Fort Cambell with the 101st knows about Austin Peay. So that means either NAU, Eastern or S. Utah won’t be in the top 44?

North Carolina A&T was the only FCS team to finish last season with a perfect record.

Either CSM made a mistake when they said how many teams from the BSC are this or either EWU or So. Utah isn’t in their top 44. I’m going with the former.
