Fab Four Freshmen running backs
“Get Back!” With a pair of three stars in White and Ifanse (also Washington GPOY), two-star Cauley (99 thinks he’s best of the bunch) and Badlands Bowl MVP Sumner (31 carries, 184 yards) do the Bobcats have a quartet that will leave opponents singing, “Help!” to each other the next few years? “Help me if can, I’m feeling down...”

Well, I’ll be shocked if at least one or two of them isn’t playing this year. My money is on Infanse and White.

Sumner wasn't the Badlands Bowl Offensive MVP. That was Mark Estes.iaafan wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:54 am“Get Back!” With a pair of three stars in White and Ifanse (also Washington GPOY), two-star Cauley (99 thinks he’s best of the bunch) and Badlands Bowl MVP Sumner (31 carries, 184 yards) do the Bobcats have a quartet that will leave opponents singing, “Help!” to each other the next few years? “Help me if can, I’m feeling down...”

Well let’s cut him then. Lol
He did break the Badlands records for rushing yards and carries.

With the upgrade in Speed on both sides of the ball , I think we will see a BobCat Team that plays faster than
maybe we have seen before. If offense will utilize the Power on the inside, the Speed on the outside and put
together a serviceable Passing game. The Defense will put some pressure on the QB, it could lead to a record year
for Sacks and Turn Overs. We will play fast! If we refrain from shooting ourselves in the proverbial foot !
I don't know how good we will be , but , I believe it will take a heck of a team having a heck of a game to beat us .
I'm not bummed at all, rather chomping at the bit, to see these Guys get after it . I think they are Hungry !

I think we will see one of them and it will be White returning kicks and spot duty at running back. Between Andersen, Tucker, Jones and Natee we have pretty solid upper classmen I think. Burgess might get some reps too.
But it seems a very solid group for next year and beyond!

Just correcting. I like Lane a whole lot. The other three runners better be ready for a battle in the weight room and on the field because Lane won't bow down to anyone.

Re: Fab Four Freshmen running backs
I've had this question before and still don't know the answer, when do players get access to a play book? Getting used to completely new offense as far as formation calls, routes, special requests is quite a task. The freshman that can tackle this and shows their skill set is college ready when they come to fall camp is gonna get the nod for playing time. The only caveat is if the freshman is going to be used on special teams as a return specialist or head hunter. Special teams schemes I believe are far easier to learn and a quick way for some recruits to get on the field immediately. I don't necessarily like when athletes burn a year to play special teams, but whatever is best for the team in the coaches eyes I guess I have to go with.

I have to say this is a good problem to have. I liked watching their videos. They seem too good to not play and can't wait to see how they perform. Mr iaafan's comment on Justin Cauley is interesting, as I did notice how he would hit players as he was getting tackled and carry them for a few yards. If he can do that at this level, wow! There's a lot of speed in this group so if they find room to run, this offense will jump to another level. It's a tough conference though, so nothing will come too easy. Just hoping they can get er done on the field!
