Triangle Classic
Anyone have any info or has there been any talk about the classic? I have heard word that there is a chance they aren’t going to do it anymore. Any truth to this?
Punters are people too!!

There is. April 2nd. Where are you getting your information from? Probably should update that source.GoCats18 wrote:Is there a reason there is no scrimmage this year?

I think what the question being asked is "Is there no scrimmage at the Triangle Classic as in previous years?" Doesn't look like it.VimSince03 wrote:There is. April 2nd. Re: Triangle Classic
They aren't calling it a scrimmage but the team will conduct a practice on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. I believe it will be no contact and mostly 7 on 7 drills and that sort of thing.Rich K wrote:I think what the question being asked is "Is there no scrimmage at the Triangle Classic as in previous years?" Yep, 7 on 7. Coach said it at his spring presser. No reason to take a chance on someone getting hurt.John K wrote:They aren't calling it a scrimmage but the team will conduct a practice on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Re: Triangle Classic
There was no practice because Memorial Stadium was unavailable. The banquet was again well attended. Woodsen's talk was nothing special though in my opinion. He was ok, but certainly not one of the best speakers we've had.Montanabob wrote:What? No comments on the last practice and classic?

Who has been some of the better speakers over the years? Just curious, I've never been to one.John K wrote:There was no practice because Memorial Stadium was unavailable. Re: Triangle Classic
Joe Theisman was maybe the best. I also liked Eric Dickerson, Jim Kelly, and Deacon Jones. Dick Butkus was probably the worst with Brent Musberger a close 2nd. Dan Fouts and Ricky Bleier were pretty good too.91catAlum wrote:Who has been some of the better speakers over the years?
