he would definitely be another big time recruit...…. fingers crossed. Just a random thought, but most people did not think we had ANY chance of actually landing James Williams or Ifanse last year (along with a couple other guys)……. so ya never know.

Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (15 Verbals)
Well, Williams was a bit wishy-washy on his commitment. Williams committed early but de-committed at one time before committing again. I haven't seen Hosey post much about MSU since his initial commitment. He also just picked up an offer from Lamar University in Texas. I really hope the Cats land him though. He looks special.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 4:48 pm

Along with a quarterback that can pass, Ifanse and Hosey in the backfield is my dream right now.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 10:24 amCan you imagine a two headed monster of him and Ifanse? Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (15 Verbals)
I think MSU needs a quarterback that can pass AND run. I don’t think the run game will be as effective without a mobile quarterback. Ifanse would have a big drop off if Andersen isn’t the quarterback.

Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (15 Verbals)
I don't really agree.
I think Ifanse would be more effective with a good passing QB than he was with Andersen this last year. A passing threat keeps guys out of the box and can have your LB's and safeties playing on their heels.
Now, I prefer a dual threat QB. I think it's harder on a defense. But to say the run game wouldn't be as effective without a mobile QB is fairly inaccurate imo.

Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (15 Verbals)
I think you both are correct. If you look at the replay of some of Ifanse's big runs (especially against PSU, the LB's pay so much attention to the threat of troy faking the handoff and rolling outside, that they left the middle of the defense wide open for numerous big gains for ifanse. Same thing happened with lasane last year when defenses were keying on Chris Murray.bobcat99 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 11:22 amI don't really agree.

Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (15 Verbals)
In a perfect world you have a dual-threat QB. That's why they are so coveted.
But I think I've seen enough of the QBs who are better runners than passers under Choate. Time for someone who can throw. Ideally not a statue, and I don't think any QB on our roster is a statue. Bauman isn't going to demand that much attention but he is capable of scrambling for 10, 15 yards when needed. He ran a little option in high school.

I just watched his Hudl tape from Fullerton. Reminded me that I never did like his delivery. I will day though that he seems to read the defense pretty quickly and finds the open guy. He’s pretty good sized too at 6’2 218 as well as being a good runner. No one is TA fast but he can still move well.

Some of you guys that are super Twitter savy, or recruiting in general, how could a person find out who’s been offered by ewoo or ucd at the QB position. Let’s target them and see how we match up head to head?

I agree on the Eastern Washington part! They seem to know how to find qb's!94VegasCat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 8:27 amSome of you guys that are super Twitter savy, or recruiting in general, how could a person find out who’s been offered by ewoo or ucd at the QB position.
