I hope we land BOTH Modster and Jensen. Will make for a hell of a spring ball competition between those two, rovig, bauman and Beltran
Only take one.

Transfer, Rovig, Bauman, Beltran, Ekern. That’s 5 QB’s. Unless if they know somebody is going to transfer, can’t see them bringing in more than one transfer. Also don’t see Modster and Jensen both wanting to come here if the other dies.

This is a one or the other deal.

I’d take Modster.

I don’t think Ekern is going to play qb at MSU. Probably safety or LB. I agree that MSU would not bring both Jensen and Modster in.

Don’t forget Murray, if he comes back. Of course, he may move to another position as well. Personally, I’d take Jensen. He is more of a known commodity and has a lot of playing experience.

I’ll believe Murray is back when he’s on the field lol. Nothing against the kid, just seen this movie one too many times.

I like both QB’s. I think Modster has better tape and performed pretty decent at a higher level of football. Think he has a slightly better arm. Either one would be an improvement, so I won’t complain.

both look good to me...…. I will say that if Jonsen came here...… man, what story THAT would be. Just one more thing to make the rivalry that much crazier. love it.

Colter just said on his ESPN show that there is a Power 5 QB on campus this week, or was this weekend, and Jensen. He refused to name the school or player but you have to think it's Modster.

A little more info about Modster, sorry if repeat info, but he originally committed to Arizona as the #13 ranked pro-style QB in the country, and then flipped to UCLA.

I'm trying not to hold the flipped commitment against him.

Couldn’t you say the same thing about Modster and Jensen? I’ll believe it when I see them on the field. No guarantees either player is coming here.

Did you hold it against Gunnar Brekke?

You wrote that you will believe Murray is coming back when you see him on the field. The same could be said about Modster and Jensen. No guarantees any of the three, Murray, Modster or Jensen will be Bobcats. The thread mentioned a “transfer” in the mix for Spring ball, but we don’t know that for sure yet. I’m not getting on you, just pointing out that we won’t know anything until somebody signs or Spring ball comes around.

This kid's tape is fun to watch! He apparently is nearly impossible to tackle.

I saw stats from one game (WY playoffs I believe) where he had like 335 yards and 4 tds on just 10 carries!?!?

That's an impressive highlight reel. I had to watch for over 2:30 before I saw him get tackled. Can't tell if he's really good or if the opposing defenses are really terrible.

Watching the footage I would say it's a combination of both. At 205 lbs he is a pretty big dude to take down as a high school running back. Positives I can see from watching his highlights: 1) He follows his blockers and has patience to wait for them to make proper cuts. 2) He has good field vision and the ability to make defenders miss causing them to try and arm tackle him. 3) He, like TA, rips through arm tackles or spins off of them. He keeps driving his legs and unless another defender is there to take him down he'll drag or break the single person tackles. He doesn't have outstanding top speed, but he is a powerful runner which makes up for that in terms of getting and working for yardage.

There is a WR on Boise St. named Modster. Does anyone know if that is his brother?

In Devon's UCLA profile... Full Name: Devon L. Modster… Born in North Torrance, Calif. … Parents: Rudy and Tess Modster … Has one brother, Sean
I'm gonna go with a strong, yes, it is his brother.

Boise State was interested in him at the ends of October, but it doesn't look like that interest is still there from what I can find.
