Gut feeling VIM, Murray start at QB next year?
I'm not VIM, but imma answer anyways. Gut (and it's a large one) feeling is no.

Jonsen (Waller in HS if you're curious) is the better passer and equally as mobile if not more. Neither are great passers. Murray moves to some kind of RB/WR type imo, or he transfers. Wouldn't be surprised if he transfers if he loses out.

Either way, this is good for all 3 QB's. Murray, Rovig, and Jonsen will be a great competition. Then in a year or two, Rovig and Bauman will be a great competition. Coaches are stacking up players at the right spots.
Spring will give us some serious clarity I think.

I don't disagree.

I do like Murray at the half back position.
Especially with a left handed fullback that can run the wildcat and pass.
Travis was beaten out by Dakota Prukop and Justin Herbert (current starter) at Oregon as a freshman. Then transferred this spring to Riverside JC. He was the #4 rated Dual-Threat QB in the nation coming out of high school. Chris NEEDS competition in order to see if he can make it as a QB the next two years. Rovig won't transfer as Jonsen will be a junior (same as Chris if he were to remain at QB) so the same timeline for Rovig to start is still in place. Rovig will be in line to take over the reins at QB his junior season with competition from Casey Bauman.
So that makes 8 QBs on the fall roster. Not many snaps for several folks.
Have we cut or moved some of the QBs?
Jonsen, Murray, Rovig, Bauman.

Realistically, those are the only QB's that will get any type of reps. McChesney is more of a student-coach.

Even then, Jonsen, Murray, and Rovig are the only ones in the competition. They'll get the bulk of the reps.

Current QBs on roster:

Chris Murray - Junior
Brady McChesney - Junior
Tucker Rovig - Redshirt Freshman
Callahan O'Reilly - Redshirt Freshman
Kamden Brown - Sophomore (will not likely make the team)

Incoming recruits:

Travis Jonsen - Junior
Casey Bauman - Freshman

I would not get too comfortable with Murray as the QB going forward. He may be transitioning into the "Troy Andersen" role on offense so we can move Troy to defense full-time.

I wouldn't be surprised to see O'Reilley moved to TE.

Position is Murrays to lose. Let's see how he progresses on passing into spring ball.
Everybody else, as good as they look, are promissory notes.
It will be an interesting spring in many positions.

Or he could be part of the younger competition with Rovig and Bauman.

I don't know if this is the case. I don't think he will have a leg up at all this spring with Jonsen coming in. If there wasn't another experienced guy, then yes I'd say it's his to lose. But not now.

Did I miss Luke May leaving?

While you're all watching this, how about going to the above link and voting for Troy. Seems you can vote once per day per device. We need to pick up the pace a bit.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

May is at safety and has been all year.

Sounds like — from Choate’s tweet — they’re all done.

Luke plays safety. Online roster isn't updated.

Sherod White and a transfer (likely Zion Echols). They still can be committed...and still could sign later today or the next two days.

The new early signing day certainly seems to have been a success! It will be interesting to see how many spots MSU still has open for February signees after any roster attrition that may happen here between semesters. MSU has no shortage of talent at the QB and RB positions! Whether it ends up being Murray or someone else, an offense with a capable passing QB and these RBs will be tough to slow down.
