Re: Bobcat Club
Showing that MSU is behind the Griz could be the best marketing MSU could possibly do to get more new members signed up! I note that they are not showing the total amount donated by the members at each school, which is probably the more relevant number and may well be closer than the raw numbers of donors would suggest!stevo wrote:This is unacceptable! I’d be interested in what the median donation is. I’d guess around $250 or so?MSU01 wrote:Showing that MSU is behind the Griz could be the best marketing MSU could possibly do to get more new members signed up! Re: Bobcat Club
Probably has a lot to do with required donations for the right to buy football season tickets...or in the case of North Dakota, hockey season tickets? The top 3 also happen to have law schools. There must be a joke in there somewhere about lawyers and athletic supporters? ...

Re: Bobcat Club
I don’t have it front of me, but this info and a couple other charts just came in the mail yesterday on a flyer asking for a Christmas time donation. The average MSU donation was $1000, don’t remember what the others were.wbtfg wrote:I’d be interested in what the median donation is. Re: Bobcat Club
Just from a numbers stand point. I think the football season ticket donation for both Cat and griz are not included in these numbers?

Re: Bobcat Club
The important thing that this Bobcat Club brochure points out is that there is an almost $900,000 gap between what the Bobcat Club contributes toward athletic scholarships and what the total cost is for all scholarships. That means that this $900,000 must come out of the Athletic Dept. budget. If we can grow the Bobcat Club to cover that gap that would be $900,000 that the Athletic Dept. could use toward other needs like facilities, etc. It would really help the Coaches as they would have free up more money for recruiting trips and things like that. This brochure also shows how the Griz are way ahead of us in raising money. We need to do better!! Remember, contributing and becoming a member of the Bobcat Club, is that money goes strictly to athletic scholarships for student athletes.

Re: Bobcat Club
Unless I am missing something, it sure seems difficult to make a donation to the MSU Bobcat Club. I've gone to there website expecting a place to make a cash donation via credit card and found no such page. The "donate" dropdown is of no use. Help?

Re: Bobcat Club
I sent them some more money the other day. I think they really need to do a better job requesting donations. It’s almost a battle sometimes to give them cash. I noticed the other day they didn’t put a link to that MSU website when they requested donations on Twitter. The spirit squad did the same thing when they requested donations on Twitter a couple weeks ago. I sent the AAD a PM and he added the link to the twitter feed. However, they didn’t put up a mailing address for those people, like my mother, who are not comfortable with donating online.
I noticed the brochure includes a mailing address, so if any of you wish to donate through the mail, send the check to.

Re: Bobcat Club
I like to give some money to the colleges that my spouse and I attended. I guess with those funds/bobcat club/season passes/tailgate pass, we could rob Peter to pay Paul. might consult our dear republicans and see how they do financing. Can’t quite go into 3 trillion dollar debt.

I guess that goes along with having their Taj Mahal stadium and all the season tickets they sell. I think a few losing seasons will cure that advantage.

I’m guessing they have a few real large contributors. Might even use bodacious.

I live in Airzona part-time and it's amazing how NAU, with an enrollment of 29,000, located in a State with 7MM people, and a community of 72,000 gets absolutely no love!Hawks86 wrote:https://twitter.com/BobcatClub/status/941654075120209920
