I think choate and gregorak would agree with you but injuries/suspensions have forced choate a hand.
Unless MSU finds someone that can do what Andersen is doing on offense, I believe you'll see him in the same role in coming years. Eight touches for 100 yards and a score yesterday. It's hard to find players like that. It's yet to be seen if he has the same knack on the defensive side. Next to Murray, Andersen has been MSU's best offensive threat this year.

I don't disagree, but we are being unfair to the kid...Put him in one position allow him to hone his skills..Next year will come and we will not be so forgiving of in game errors..Not to mention if he plans to go pro it won't be as a RB...

You know that his true freshman year? Two way players were the norm not so long ago. I don't see why he can't do it, especially once he's bigger, stronger and more experienced.

I can all but guarantee you that Choate's focus isn't on developing someone for the pros. His focus is on winning at MSU. If that takes Andersen playing both ways for the next three years, that's what he will do.
The kid is Jim Thorpe reincarnated. He could probably punt and kick too. Him running downhill on a defense is something we can't stop doing. He's does it better than anybody else on our roster.
Yes, the kid is a freak athlete, but he is not going to be a super running back but he will be a steller defensive player, make him a lb or a thumper safety.

I agree...with the caveat that he gets some packages on the O like on Saturday where he can run for 80-100!

Disagree, that kid's speed when he turns the corner is flat out scary. He'd make a great RB!

Agreed. Not sure how you can say he wouldn't be a super back when he ran for 500 yards in limited action.

Yep, and scored 2 TDs as a true freshman on the biggest stage possible at MSU.
Kids the real deal.
