Again, MSU actively recruits Minnesota and has recruited the Midwest...well...forever. Unfortunately, many top FBS and FCS schools also recruit the Midwest so its a battle. MSU should recruit the I-5 Corridor (Washington, Oregon, Idaho) pretty hard because the talent is still exceptional and easier travel for the recruiting budget. California gets recruited hard every year...as it should. Also, I already told you that MSU got a kid out of Totino-Grace in downtown Minneapolis by the name of Lewis Kidd who will be our starting RG next year as a redshirt freshman. MSU hasn't moved away from Minnesota...they just don't win many recruiting battles in the state. The Missouri Valley Conference of the FCS and the Big Ten of the FBS owns Minnesota and the rest of the Midwest.

Gotcha.. well the ones in minnesota you have targeted are the right one's, so that's a good thing.

L.A. isn't much farther from Bozeman than Minneapolis is. The Cat's have hit up Florida, Texas, and Georgia as well. With the exception of the North East, I don't think there are many regions that they don't look for talent.

Part of that may be that MSU for the previous 6-7 years hasn't played a brand of ball that typically identifies with Midwest kids. I think with the way Choate has this program and culture headed, you may start to see more of the kinds of kids come play here.

Hes listed at 5'11", 290. I'd be that is why we are his first D1 offer. He'd fit right in with our DT room.

I guess sometimes it pays to be the first to offer a player. I thought his hudl video looked familiar, turns out he was the young man that was offered back an the beginning of April.

Per Vim's list on the first page, there are still a boatload of offers outstanding. I think I kind of know how an offer is extended (in writing), but how does the revoking of an offer take place? Does the prospect receive a letter too? What is the official process?

I believe they put a timeline on the offer. If a recruit doesn't take the offer in the allotted time, then it's pulled.

This is really impressive. Cats have 4 of the top 30 national recruits in FCS according to the rankings. Only NDSU and Harvard had as many as the Cats! Only one other Big Sky school had 1 ranked recruit from the top 30.
