Sweet, yeah Capital having a good D is nothing new, how does their offense look? And how is everyone else looking?

Fergus (Lewistown) is there.coachouert wrote:Camp is still going on right now. Re: Montana Recruits 2018
I got a chance to watch yesterday evening. Capital's offense looked pretty good. Big and powerful. Basically what you would expect from them. Not a lot of flash and speed, but efficient.
I did see BJ grab Capital's tight end and walk/talk with him, but no way to know if that was just coaching or something more. There were a lot of kids there, so it was a bit hard to keep track.

Yeah I suppose it is hard to keep track with that many kids and teams there. And the Capital TE is Matt Culpon, I do believe he has received some attention from the cats. And thanks for the update on the bruin offense, I do expect them to be powerful and strong rather than quick and speedy. Any other observations of other teams or kids?NV_bobcat wrote:I got a chance to watch yesterday evening. Capital's offense looked pretty good. Big and powerful. Several of the teams just had colored practice jersey's on, so it made it hard to track who was who. Bozeman looked pretty good. I don't hear a lot of chatter about their team this year, but they seemed to do pretty well from what I saw.

Bozeman should have a talented team as always. Thanks for all the info from that camp!NV_bobcat wrote:Several of the teams just had colored practice jersey's on, so it made it hard to track who was who. Bozeman looked pretty good. Ran into a kid at my gym here in MN tonight who said Luke May from Whitefish will be walking on to MSU this fall. Apparently he went to U of Minnesota on a track scholarship but decided to return home this fall and walk on at MSU (for football)(QB). Will have 4 years to play 4.

Wow really? Well I will be reminding everyone of Mr. May tomorrow then. He was a force in the All-Star games last summer. Great athlete who can be a stud at QB, WR, or S.gtapp wrote:Ran into a kid at my gym here in MN tonight who said Luke May from Whitefish will be walking on to MSU this fall. I challenged the kid (never seen him before) if he meant MSU or UM. He was animate that Luke was going to be a Bobcat. Don't have any evidence that the kid was right but he said Luke was a good friend and he was pretty sure of himself.VimSince03 wrote:Wow really? If true, that'd be quite a development.
Daily Interlake:
"(May's stats) compiled in 43 games are among the best in the history of the state, and Montana High School Association’s record book lists May as the all-class, all-time leader in state history in career touchdowns (115) and points scored (702). He’s also second in total yards from scrimmage (10,812)."

Re: Montana Recruits 2018
Does his participation in Track at Minnesota have any bearing on the 4 to play 4?gtapp wrote:Ran into a kid at my gym here in MN tonight who said Luke May from Whitefish will be walking on to MSU this fall. btw, 15th in the Big Ten as a true freshmen is a pretty good deal.

This article should tell you all you need to know about Luke. May not be the most refined passer as a QB but he is a chain-mover on offense. Defensively, there is no reason to think he can't help this team somewhere in the secondary. Great instincts. If he is walking on, we won't know if he's on the team until school starts.

Yes. Leif Erikson of Kalispell played the other half.luckyirishguy25 wrote:I believe he only played half the game at QB if I remember right.iaafan wrote:May was 12-for-19 for 132 yards and 2 TDs with no INTs and ran 16 times for 49 yards and 2 TDs in the Shrine Game.
