Re: SoCal Boom
Sunshine state implies Florida, not SoCal. I believe Vim had us chasing someone down there.

Yup it does. I was thinking SoCal but knew Florida was it.

Re: SoCal Boom
Well it would be either Tyrel Burgess or James Campbell. Burgess is a RB/ATH and Campbell is a QB/ATH. Both are fast.Cat4LifeHouseDivided wrote:Sunshine state implies Florida, not SoCal. I believe Vim had us chasing someone down there.

Re: Sunshine state Boom
Here is James Campbell's senior tape. Again, we could be bringing him in as a QB but I think he is coming here as an athlete.Cat4LifeHouseDivided wrote:James Campbell liked coach's tweet.

Armstrong has Florida connections. I figured we would sign someone from down there sooner or later

Tyrel's tape:
Kind of makes up for the loss of Jayshawn Gates and Tavon Dodd. Same type of player.

Re: Sunshine state Boom
First time watching his tape, color me impressed! He can cut on a dime, good lord! He also finishes his runs with authority for being a smaller back. Check out how ATROCIOUS his WRs are at blocking downfield, if they even gave 30% effort and just got in the way of their guy a lot of Tyrel's 20-30 yard runs would have went to the house.VimSince03 wrote:Tyrel's tape:

He can stop and cut on a dime!!! Doesn't have extreme break away speed, but will definitely be a play maker, also be a great person to have receiving punts. Make a couple people miss then off to the races. Wouldn't mind seeing the right side of his line #54 and #70 head this direction, tooVimSince03 wrote:Tyrel's tape:

Yup. He is what you would call a "weapon." Doesn't have to be an every-down player.Team10 wrote:He can stop on a dime!!! Doesn't have extreme break away speed, but would be a great person to have receiving punts. Make a couple people miss then off to the races.VimSince03 wrote:Tyrel's tape:

I like this committ a lot. I don't feel we ever really replaced Shawn John. Hopefully this guy will be similar.VimSince03 wrote:Yup. He is what you would call a "weapon." Dudes got speed in spades from what I saw.Team10 wrote:He can stop and cut on a dime!!! Re: Sunshine state Boom
I agree, I thought he might lack the breakaway speed because he kept getting chased down by DBs, but the closer I looked (like I mentioned above) his WRs do not block downfield whatsoever. He usually gets tripped up by an unblocked safety or corner.Common Cat wrote:Dudes got speed in spades from what I saw.Team10 wrote:He can stop and cut on a dime!!! Re: Sunshine state Boom
He is crazy elusive. That is one odd looking running style though.
