Brekke at cornerback (covered Kupp)

Post by TomCat88 » Sun Oct 23, 2016 6:25 am

He was at cornerback 4-5 times over the course of the game and was lined up in man on Kupp twice. Stayed with him and Kupp wasn't thrown to on either play. Those were some of the funnest plays of the game. I was nervous for him, but he did a good job. Even blitzed once.

He was an all state corner in high school and probably would've started at corner if the coaches decided to play him there.

I saw the tweet from either Skyline or Parker and thought they had a mistake in the tweet.

That's really cool that they put that in and better that he had success.

You know he's taken his lumps from people about how they think he's lost speed with the weight gain. But he's my favorite player on this team. I am so proud to call that dude a Bobcat. He epitomizes C.A.T.

He also TOOK the blame for that killer fumbled exchange. I say took because when I asked the other reporters at halftime 'who got stuck with the fumble?' they all immediately said "Murray" in unison.

I saw this article on Friday and it only solidified my respect for this young man.

I think if Choate was here when Brekke came in, he would've started out on defense. One wonders how that would've impacted our team.

Brekke will do anything for this team, and that shows, the fact he was willing to play defense as well! He does epitomize what it means to be a CAT and so happy to have him on this team for sure.
