Handshake

Post by Caboose » Sat Oct 22, 2016 10:16 pm

Anyone else catch the handshake at the end? Choate looked furious and it may of been the quickest shake in the world. Not sure if it was because two eags jumping up and down mid field on the logo ran right into him or if it had more to do with the that timeout anf what went into it at the end of the game..

I wasn't super impressed with the shove he gave the EWU player who ran into him.

As I said in another post I was not super impressed with Coach Choate going ballistic on the sidelines and screaming at Coach Ione in front of the team. Immature IMO.

You can't say he doesn't have fire and intensity.

Private? It was on TV.
*Even if it wasn't, it seems as if anyone near the sideline would've seen it.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Maybe Baldwin said something about that final TO that Choate called in order to get in 1 more pointless play. Am I the only one who thinks that was a bush league move?

No, Choate was pissed when he headed to the middle of the field at the end. He was headed for midfield, the EW players were jumping up and down celebrating. One of them landed and kinda bumped Choate. Choate shoved him away and continued to Baldwin. Kinda did a quick handslap, then headed out of the middle of the whole gathering on the field. He stood right outside the cat head logo with his hands on his hips as all the players shook hands and talked when the game was over. Band started playing the school song and he started herding his team to the endzone.

He did the same thing to Petrino after the Idaho game.

I absolutely love the passion he brings. He wants these guys to win so bad I bet he would put pads on.

More drama. Sounds a lot like last week's Walker episode. What will the bye week bring? Stay tuned.

There's passion, then there's losing your professionalism and being a dick. He was trending to dickish.

Yes, I would have preferred seeing Rob Ash lifelessly strolling to the hand shake, politely avoiding the Eastern players stomping on our logo, then telling coach Baldwin, "great game", "you guys did a great job scoring 72 points on us" And then walking back to the locker room alone. I really miss those days.

It doesn't have to be either-or, you know.

So you're saying IF there were players jumping on the logo (which is NOT what this was) you'd like our coach to go out and kick their ass? That's the "fire" you're looking for?

What if it's a case of coach making sure nobody was going to celebrate on the logo?
