I am changing my previous pick..........(if Newell gets 30+ carries)
Eastern - 27
cats - 42
Eastern has no defense and if you pound the ball at them they will lay down, they are not a good team they are a good offense and that isnt a good team.

I have a feeling that the Cats are going to show up and make this a competitive game. No, I'm afraid
I don't think we will prevail, but I think it will be surprisingly close.

Re: Weekly Prediction Thread: Week 8 vs EWU
so excited for these kinds of games. could we get our asses kicked? sure. we have seen little to think that we could keep this game close, let alone win. and I love that.
you know who wants to win more than us? every player on that damn team. and every coach who knows their actual livelihood is impacted by wins and losses. I love reading the passion on this board. even if it's delusional at times, it's passion and a love for the program. but you are kidding yourself if you think you care more than the players and coaches pacing that sideline every Saturday.
these guys have nothing to lose. nearly no one expects them to win. even the most loyal of fans expects a loss. many expect a blowout loss. the defense is expected to give up 60+. the offense lucky to score a couple times. weber took us to the woodshed. we've lost 4 straight for the first time in god knows how long! we are 2 td underdogs at home! we don't even know how many fans are going to show up. there is NOTHING to say this game should be a cat victory. and I love that.
here's hoping the fans show up loud and proud. let these guys know we're still behind them. we're "fighting" just like we know they are. we know they're giving it everything they have. and whether we lose, lose by 30, or somehow someway leave with a win, i'll leave the stadium feeling the same way about these guys as I do right now.

This is your 5th trip through... and we both know Newell, with or without a severe and painful bone bruise, has about as much a chance to get thirty touches as does Sonny Holland.AlphaGriz1 wrote:I am changing my previous pick..........(if Newell gets 30+ carries)

The people picking us to score hardly at all are nuts. Granted they are mostly Griz fans and trolls but come on, Eastern has a terrible D again this year.

If we win it will be the biggest home win since Stoney Brook and a defining moment for the Choate era. The 2009 Weber State game was the defining moment for the Ash era. We are still waiting for that moment, one that we win despite the odds against us. We haven't had moments like that in a long time.

2010 Home game against EWU?
Minter blocks BLM's pass, catches it and runs it all the way back for a TD.
Cats cruise to a 30-7 victory.
That was a Signature Win for Rob Ash
Of course EWU went on the win the national championship that year.
We've got to create turnovers. Make it happen and we can win.

Who was their running back that we bottled up that day? He went on to play with the raiders. Btw - that was Ash's most impressive victory as a Bobcat imo.LongTimeCatFan wrote:Here's another "member berry" (I love that by the way)Common Cat wrote:If we win it will be the biggest home win since Stoney Brook and a defining moment for the Choate era. It's going to be a fun one to watch and maybe, just maybe we find a spark that ignites this thing.
Cats can win this. We match up to them pretty well actually.
Final score: 35-17 Bobcat victory
