Sacramento State Offense through four...

Post by Mr Lisle » Fri Sep 30, 2016 9:27 am

Sac State put the ball in the air vs. Western Oregon with some success. They went 34-58 for 370 yds. They could not run..just 36 carries with a 2.6 average. Scored 30
Game 2 vs Fresno their offense was crushed. Just 9-25 and 89 yds passing. Ran 33 times for 2.9. The offense got off just 58 plays. Scored 3
Game 3 vs. Weber showed a bit of improvement. 16-37 for 125 yds and 35 rushes @ 4.1 per. Scored 7
Game 4 vs. Idaho State looks very decent. 25-46 for 327 yds. and 41 rushes for a sparkling average of 5.4 per carry. Scored 34*
Game 5 vs. MSU TBD

*Hard to take anything away from the Idaho State game. ISU was crushed by Colorado and beaten up by Oregon State. They've beaten Simon Fraser and Western Oregon. A real bi-polar schedule thus far.

Yeah, they aren't very good. I expect MSU to win easily. The Cats damn near beat a good UND team with five turnovers and multiple errors, so I expect them to play a lot cleaner this week and if they do they'll win easily. The QB/offense has got to come around this week. 200 rushing and 300 passing.

I don;t know that you are ever going to see stats like that out of this offense. I don't think the Cats had 500 yards against WOU at home. But, yes. The cats should have beat a mid-tier UND team, except for drops, overthrowing wide open receivers, and some other unforced errors. I like the Cats by 3 scores.
