Amazing pickup for the Cats! Does anyone know if he has any previous ties to the Cats or the Griz? Just curious.

It looks like Armstrong's relationships with athletes combined with Choate's positive no nonsense approach is paying big dividends.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

I think its a combination of a number of things. In addition to Choate and Armstorng, I would assume playing for Gerald Alexander is a big draw (especially compared to Marshall in the past), strong academic programs, and just the positive vibes coming from MSU as an entire institution. Lots of positive happenings in Bozeman right now.

Agreed with this. I think this defensive staff we have is very good. Good experience (Gregorak, Ioane, Choate), youth/energy (Hout), and someone who has made it to the big leagues (Alexander).

Looking at our verbals right now you can tell how strong it leans toward the defense, and one would think its because of the experience and energy that this staff brings.

I think Keaton Anderson and Troy Andersen both have potential to be 4-year starters at safety
