Bad deal. I believe this is the second bad injury for Jeffries. First one was his ankle.

Re: Jeffries out for season
I feel awful for Devin. Prior to last season, I circled him as a kid who would possibly be the most improved defensive player his sophomore year. Then he goes and has a great game against Cal Poly. After that, he gets knocked on the shelf with a season ending surgery. Then he looks the part again coming into this year and this happens. It really tests a kid when he has to go through this and I hope he stays with it. Could be a possible medical redshirt candidate in the future so hopefully we haven't seen the last of Devin. Will be a senior in 2017.
This also means that Marcus Ferriter will be seeing a lot of playing time his redshirt freshman season. Right now the coaches have moved over Shiloh LaBoy to the strong-side spot to help the depth (who also didn't practice today along with starter Tyrone Fa'anono who will be back soon).

damnit
any hit to our D front is a big setback this year
here's hoping he is patient through rehab and comes back strong and hungry

This is really unfortunate for the kid. I watched him all through high school, and he is a really good one. I hope he heals up 100%. Tough break.
