I'll be there. I'll be watching the #2 OL, QB 2-4, S 3-4, and #1 interior DL.

Re: August 19 scrimmage
According to the Skyline article there will be lots to watch for with the amount of players banged up this week.
Anxious to see how Bruggman is coming along.
With the Idaho game looming, will be watching our secondary heavily.
Hoping to see our transfers do well especially on the D line.
Enjoyed Pegues hs highlights and looking forward how he comes along tonight.

Great writeup. No mention of Logan Jones, or Koni Dole. Those both kinda surprise me.

Why would a player not practicing yet be included in an article about the scrimmage?catatac wrote:Great writeup. No mention of Logan Jones, or Koni Dole. Those both kinda surprise me.

Re: August 19 scrimmage
Well, I made it. Lots of good but also a lot of things that need to get fixed quick. Our punting is horrible. If we punt inside our own 20, the other team is going to get great field position. There is potential for this to get fixed though. Thought the 1st defense played great. Hard hits, people pushing each other. The energy is there. Now we just need to play so we can see where we really stand.
Punters are people too!!

Had car trouble, made it for the last 1/2 of the scrimmage. I thought Murray looked really good at QB. No opinion on Bruggeman. Got there jusy as he finished his series.

Two players that really stood out to me- LB #11 one of the McCarthy brothers. He is always around the ball. Very fast reactions and made good tackles. The other is frosh QB Chris Murray. This is the second scrimmage where he moved the offense. He finds the open receiver. He is patient. When he does run he is fast and an overall good runner. Doesn't look like a frosh.

Logan will be back when school starts. Word is since he was not on schollie and his Dad needed him home to work this summer, they told him to come back when school starts when the roster goes to 104catatac wrote:Ah, gotcha... thanksVimSince03 wrote:Jones didn't make the 94. QB Chris Murray will be special down the road. Has all the tools and that "it" factor, needs to work on his ball a little in terms of touch, but he is very solid. Like you said, doesn't look like a freshmanbobcatbob wrote:Two players that really stood out to me- LB #11 one of the McCarthy brothers. He is always around the ball. Koni played, got in on punt coverage and played LB, he did well, in on a few tackle's.VimSince03 wrote:Jones didn't make the 94. Dole is hurtcatatac wrote:?? Re: August 19 scrimmage
I thought Murray throws a nice ball, plus he can run. If he can redshirt this year, he will be that much better next year, put some weight on and get use to the college game.Bozcat003 wrote:QB Chris Murray will be special down the road.
