3RD Quarter starts strong for future bobcats

On defense Hadley blitz forces an interception by Michael Jobman which leads to a touchdown pass to Karl Tucker

Yeah. Padmos with a short one

Opland just had a VERY impressive touchdown catch . .. broke some great tackles, great burst . . . but penalty brings it back. ](*,) Tough call . . .Opland would've scored anyway.

I had to go at Halftime, looks like the good guys stayed strong! I'm pretty excited about the future bobcats, where did Luke May end up again? He's a heck of a QB. Congrats to all the MT kids!

I believe May is throwing javelin for Minnesota.

Makes sense, he's got one heck of an arm.

Will have a write up on the players in this game later in the week. Some surprises.

Opland was the best offensive player on the field IMO. He may not have totaled a lot of yards, but he was carrying people out of his own backfield to turn 3-4 yard losses into 1-2 yard gains. The TD pass play to him that got called back was the best play of the game. He just stands out with the way he carries himself on every play. The run game scheme wasn't well devised, but give ND credit because they had some big run-stoppers in the trenches and we didn't matchup well. If you get Opland a little bit of an opening, he's going to be trouble for opposing defenses. He's Kirk with more speed.

Jobman had a great game and won the MVP on defense. He had about 6 tackles and 2-3 sacks, but pressured their QB about 5-6 times. He actually created his own interception. Batted it in the air, then it was tipped again, then he grabbed it. Recovered a fumble and just has a nose for the ball. Tucker, who I've been iffy on, had an outstanding game at WR.

Class B was really the story. Lewis from Townsend, Letexier, Padmos from Boulder also looked really good. Padmos had a XP blocked, but was good on all the others and he blasted a punt about 60 yards. That was a relief to see, because he was kicking all of his career in Boulder, which is about 5,000 feet elevation and this game was played at about 2,000 feet.

The other big thing was the defense was very good and that was without Benson and Chapman, who are probably the best two players in the state. The thing was ND was not good at all on offense, so that probably had a lot to do with how well the Montana defense played. Impressive nonetheless.
