Pretty sure it's Brandon Hayashi, 6'0", 310 lbs. defensive tackle from Citrus College. He started to follow a bunch of MSU people on his twitter today. He would have two years to play two. He will be a good one!

Loved his tape, getting that interior d-line depth quickly this spring!

Also, here are his freshman and sophomore year stats. Really good tackle production last year. Controlled the middle for Citrus and can push the pocket. Good football player...now I just hope its him! http://www.citrusowls.com/sports/fball/ ... iew=career

Who would you compare him to Vim?

Still need a couple more STUDS in the secondary as BCS or JC transfers to help out the kids that are improving but not quite there yet.
Defense wins games.
We have enough offense for at least three years.
Draft defense #1 FBS picks.

Nice!

A lot can happen between now and the first game, but at this point I would guess Hayashi and Yates will be the starters. That is two big guys in the middle! Both around 310 lbs.

Yates, Wilcox, Naotala, Brownlow, Polataivao and Hayashi. That's some good depth.

Don't forget Zach Wright! Was the starter opposite Naotala this spring and played really well.

What happened to Hayashi's 3rd year? He has 2 to play 2 instead of 3 to play 2?

Did Wilcox spend all of spring ball at DT or did they move him back and forth from DE?

Started at DE and moved to DT throughout spring...I think. As far as Hayashi, his highlight shows he was a senior from 2012-2013, was a JUCO freshman from 2014-2015, and a sophomore from 2015-2016. So there is a year in there (2013-2014) that he either redshirted at JUCO or didn't play. All I know is that he is coming to us as a Junior.
