He needed a big senior year to prove how athletic and talented he was. Earned First Team AA All-State at both WR and DB. Led AA with 10 interceptions in 2016. Good at high-pointing the ball and making tough catches. Also has good size at 6'3", 190 lbs.iaafan wrote:Wow, McCutcheon's stock sure skyrocketed. 48th to 7th.

Vim-What are your thoughts on Peyton Hanser? I was surprised to see him on the top 10 of your list. His brother has done well at Pullman.

He will be in the next 11-20. He is 6'4", 205 and long. Plays OLB and WR. Those are the two spots he is getting recruited at in college. Could be a safety. He isn't quite as big as his brother but he hits hard and is just as physical. UM and MSU are both after him. He was All-State at OLB for Class A this year.WeedKillinCat wrote:Vim-What are your thoughts on Peyton Hanser? I was surprised to see him on the top 10 of your list. He has visited Montana. I'm not sure if he has a solid offer from Montana State. Last I heard (as of last week), he did not. MSU is interested, but trying to decide home much $$ they have left.VimSince03 wrote:Cats and Griz. Nate was the key cog in that high-powered Billings Senior attack this year. He crushed teams through the air and on the ground. Very tough to stop. He is the Gatorade Player of the Year mostly for his prowess as a high school quarterback. But he will likely not play QB if he decides to go to either of the in-state FCS schools. His situation is very similar to former GPOY Mark Desin. His better fit would be at wide receiver or defensive back. However, he will get a chance to play QB if he decides to go NAIA and I've heard Carroll College is a likely destination.

Re: Montana Recruits 2017
A few other in-state high schoolers have committed to schools not named MSU or UM (no set timeline on any of these as these are just ones I've tracked):
Cole McCloud (Manhattan) - 6'2", 180 - WR/FS
https://twitter.com/cole_mccloud/status/808185516541804544 Cooper Christensen (Twin Bridges) - 6'5", 245 - TE
- Cooper verballed to Montana Tech on December 3rd. Big body with a good frame to add weight to be an offensive lineman one day. But has good hands and is a big, strong athlete.
Eric James (Dillon) - 6'4", 215 - DE/DL
