Agree. In your opinion, now much does the fact that the Griz had a late season collapse, including getting beat by us in their own house... sway a kid's decision?VimSince03 wrote:We are indeed recruiting him but expect more bidding wars for Montana kids this year as the Grizzlies now have their full scholarship load back.iaafan wrote:Thanks for the link. 2-3%....maybe. A good portion of Montana kids are already fans of either team regardless of who wins that game. My opinion is that the win/loss record is overrated.catatac wrote:Agree. So the All-State list for AA is officially out. Basically just waiting on the Gatorade Player of the Year now. I expect it to be Nate Dick or Gabe Sulser.
AA Offensive MVP: Nate Dick (Billings Senior) - QB
AA Defensive MVP: Keaton Anderson (Billings Senior) - FS

I think it should be Troy Anderson of Dillon for GPOY, but it usually goes to a AA player. For all the state titles they've won, it's odd that Dillon has never had a player win it. Here's the list of past winners:

Grosulak went to west, he ran at Carrol College. Somme may remeber he was involved in a gun incident in billings about two years ago. Some guy was harassing his girlfriend on the road so he tracked the guy down and the guy pulled a gun on him. I also believe he tried body building after college.LTown Cat wrote:I swore Grosulak was Billings Central.iaafan wrote:I think it should be Troy Anderson of Dillon for GPOY, but it usually goes to a AA player. Probably a different guy. Alexi Grosulak was Billings Central, he played for the Cats 2010-2012ish. Yup, here is the article. He was replaced by some guy named Singleton. Don't know what ever became of him.

Ryan Grosulak of Billings West won it in 2002. He was a RB/LB.

Vim, I saw on the Griz board where Thompson Falls Mackenzie Holt had a big year. He sounds huge and fast and averaged 11.3 yards per carry. Will he be moving up your rankings from his 31 spot.

All I remember is your saying something along the lines of him being an interesting recruit, a potential high upside due to his size and speed, and that you wanted to see how his senior year went. Am I off? Looks like his senior year went very well and he put up huge numbers and was all state. Hence the reason I asked if he'd be moving up in your opinion.VimSince03 wrote:If you've really read the board, you'll already know my opinion on him.Grizaddict wrote:Vim, I saw on the Griz board where Thompson Falls Mackenzie Holt had a big year. Callahan is 6'3", 205 lbs. and will either play QB or OLB. A sneaky good prospect at QB even though there will be a ton of competition at the position at MSU. Callahan started one year at QB for Bozeman this year and put up ridiculous numbers:
Passing: 208/327 (63.6%) for 3,178 yards and 26 TD to 5 INT passing
Rushing: 104 carries for 379 yards and 13 TDs
2016 Class AA All-State Second Team - QB
2016 Eastern AA First Team - QB
