No clue. I could make some guesses based off twitter but I don't have any knowledge on visits.

Choate says number one on his priority list is the players. "They need to know we're about them."

Choate says they're going to recruit heavily on the offensive line.

Choate has watched games from last year. Says he wants all players to have a clean slate. Wants them ready to compete for jobs.

Choate was pretty clear he wants us to be Alabama / NDSU esque. Power football coming our way!

I thought he said he wasn't looking to make big changes on offense. Did I miss something?

That's where he wants us to head, his style of ball, however he said in the immediate future we will play to our strengths.

Not trying to read too much into what Coach Choate said, but I did think his comments about not wanting to get caught up in dizzying stats and piling up a sheet with numbers that can be spun anyway you want, was maybe a bit of a signal that highlights the difference between Stitt and himself, and maybe even Cramsey/Prukop.

He is about "playerS" and not just stats! Ok, get after it.

I guess my question is did he say that somewhere? I'm not challenging what you're saying, I just haven't seen that and wondering if I missed it. In your previous post you said "it was pretty clear" he wants to move to power football....just wondering where he outlined that so clearly.

Did you listen to the interview? He said he is going to play to our strengths and this team is built for speed and spreading out the field. He stated that he wants to win now/this year and he understands this teams strengths. He said you will eventually see a more a physical, downhill running team under him as he puts his stamp on the program. He mentioned that is what the championship football teams (NDSU/Alabama) do and do well and that is what we will recruit for in the future.

No....I must have missed that, or perhaps I'm still in an egg nog haze.

I actually really like the idea of being more physical on offense. I think it's difficult to be a finesse team in Montana in late November/early December.

Looks like Zach Stern is pulling double duty and running track this winter.

That's cool!

He's only been here a season, but love his hashtags!

I've said this before, I think every RB, WR, and DB should be doing indoor track. They don't necessarily have to compete in any meets but practice with the sprinters 2-3 days a week. The track team lifts in season, too, so those guys wouldn't be losing strength. What coach wouldn't want their agility players working to increase their speed and improving their mechanics?! I believe when Kramer was here he didn't want his kids running track. It appeared Ash had the same thoughts. Maybe Choate as a different point of view on this. [-o<
