Not a marquee name. But definitely a young and energetic guy who can recruit. Hopefully is interest is genuine (I'm told that it is). We'll see.

Excellent choice! He had his own room to take care of and did a good job. Seems to be a good player's coach that keeps close touch with his guys. I doubt that he would have been a part of any internal strife.
I don't know whether or not he is head coach material. But with a few exceptions he was arguably the most successful teams coordinator. His special teams indicate he was an outstanding addition. I hope he stays on whomever is hired.

Alex Grinch
Either him or Justin Wilcox. Grinch is only 33 years old and has one year as a coordinator. I'm not sure that's someone you give a HC job to right away.

Although Grinch did coach at New Hampshire with both Cramsey and Chip Kelly...

Justin Wilcox is who I immediately thought based on SEC and PAC12 comment. Besides that it makes sense because he is on a lame duck staff.

Here is what Chip Kelly had to say about Alex Grinch.
Chip Kelly also has very good things to say. Kelly coached with Grinch at New Hampshire and praised Grinch to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports:

"He's a stud," Kelly told FOX Sports Wednesday. "He's a real rising star. One of the best teachers I've been around."

+1 to both. I'd love to have Grinch here.

Wilcox needs to take any HC opportunity he can at this point. Attaching himself to Sark's wagon has almost ruined his career. USC paid UDub $1 million to get Wilcox out of that UDub contract and move him to USC.

Wilcox would be a very intriguing name if he ended up being the rumored person of interest.

I want to go on record as saying that that hire would not have me excited. Much rather have Coach K. But at least they would be thinking defense.

Wilcox brings an edge.

How about Sark as his OC!

People have been saying that for years. I am thinking he has great pics of someone in a compromising pose and he will never go. Otherwise no reason he stays.

Bozeman might be bad for his rehab - too many great watering holes. ;)

yeah... it really is a head scratcher??? :-k Especially now that Cruzado is in charge, she seems really smart, and has done so many great things... it is weird that she hasn't seen the need to send Fields packing, the guy is terrible.

I enjoyed them Friday and Saturday nights and we actually got back to the hotel by midnight both nights. Getting old is so fun. At 8 on Saturday night a few buddies and I were wondering why it felt like it was already midnight.
