Hauck hates the cats just as much as we hate him . ..

Names I'd like (took some off and added one since the original post I made saturday)

John Wristen - 79-17 record at DII Colorado State University - Pueblo. Has only lost 5 games since 2011. Won the D2 National Championship last season.6-3 in playoffs. Knows how to build a team (started CSU-Pueblo up from the ground)
Tim Murphy - 156-63 record while Head coach at Harvard. Hasn’t lost more than 3 games in a season since 2000. One of the winningest HC in D1.
Jason McEndoo - Current FB/TE coach at Oklahoma State. No head coaching experience but has deep roots to Montana State. Great recruiter, and motivator.
Tim Cramsey - Current Offensive Coordinator at Montana State. An offensive genius where he has turned MSU into an offensive juggernaut. No head coaching experience, but has been apart of the program for a number of years.

I'd be pleased with any of those, but McEndoo is my vote . .. I don't get why people say McEndoo would never happen. He is making a great living yes, but going from an assistant to the head coach is ideal for anyone. And he LOVED Bozeman. It was not easy for him to leave here.

Pretty sure you have them backwards, Ash's salary this year was like 155K and McEndoo was like 275K.

Mac loves Bozeman and wants to be a HC. It's not that outlandish.

Plus, I think with all the perks that Ash got his contract was close to $300k. They could make it work.

McEndoo makes: $175,000 at OSU (remember, he is only the TE/FB coach)
Ash made: $174,000 base salary

Ash receives a base salary of $174,538 with incremental raises possible each year. He gets guaranteed appearance bonuses totaling $30,000 each for the Cat Chat and Bobcat Pregame radio shows and for the Bobcat Sports Report television show. Each year he participates in fundraising activities, social activities, booster functions (social and golf), public speaking engagements and ticket sales campaigns, the university pays him $21,500, bringing his baseline annual salary to $256,038.
