The BSC is still getting a lot of respect...7 teams in the top 27. I think there are a lot of very good teams in the league this year, although probably not any great ones, including EWU. I think any team can knock off any other, including the bottom feeders from the last few years, like UC-D, WSU, PSU, UND, and UNCU. I thought UC-D was terrible, but they should have beaten UM last Saturday, if not for shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly. ISU may be reverting to form, and could be the worst team in the league. I was convinced that Kramer had that program turned around, but maybe not. Sac State is completely schizoid. They lost to WSU by 18, then almost beat EWU, before losing to UNCU last week. I don't see any team getting through conference play unbeaten, so theoretically we could still win the title, but obviously we've got some things to fix on defense, if there's going to be any chance of that happening.

I understand the rankings, but UM really isn't playing that well. I would put the Griz no higher than #16.

Neither is UND. Sagarin has them at #8 in the conference, something like #44 overall.

Didn't they just beat Portland State? I don't necessarily think Sagarin is overrating them. They also have an FBS win. I'd say #8 in the BSC is about right, at this point.

UNDs wins (before Portland State) were all horrible teams. Davis, Wyoming, and Drake are something like 1-11 against FCS & higher competition. They got steamrolled by NDSU (which I've been arguing proves how overrated their D is). PSU beat Wazzu, but Wazzu isn't impressing anyone either. PSUs opponents are 2-5 against FCS competition. The computers hate both of these teams. The Big Sky is getting a free pass so far-UMs win over NDSU is looking flukey-UNI beat two top Big Sky teams....

j

Wazzu probably would have beat #24 ranked FBS Cal last weekend if not for a horrible fake punt in the 3rd quarter that ended up being a fumble return for a TD by Cal.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

What a ride
