That's pretty cool. Please keep updating this.Bemiller49 wrote:So....we decided to compile Sean's career Varsity stats. We have been unable to find film of 2 of his freshman games, but this is what we have so far and how they rank in Montana history.
Yards per game this year-177.4(6th)
Career
Yards - 3823(7th) thinking the 2 games missing will push him higher.
Rushing TDs - 42(8th)
Consecutive 100 YD games - 14(1st)
100 YD games - 19(T-6th)
All on a team that played 8 games a year and most on the list got to add on playoff stats. Thought it would be a fun thing to do.

Yeah, I know one verbal who is feeling a bit nervous right now. He still wants to go to MSU, but not sure if a new coach will want him.

Think it has more to do with the coach wanting the player. Not sure if he still fits in, is my guess.

Good point. Just glancing at our list though, I would sure think all of these guys would fit anywhere.Bemiller49 wrote:Think it has more to do with the coach wanting the player. Not sure if he still fits in, is my guess.

Hope the recruit relaxes, and just waits to see who the new coach is. Don't know who you are talking about, but we are thrilled to have him.topey711 wrote:Yeah, I know one verbal who is feeling a bit nervous right now. He still wants to go to MSU, but not sure if a new coach will want him.
especially an athlete like Opland, coaches will find a spot for him. I think a few of the assistants will be kept on staff when it is all said and done

Yes. You don't want to go where you are not really wanted.

just because they fired the head coach, doesn't mean they still don't want the current recruits. Who knows, the assistant that recruited him/them might even still be retained on the new staff.topey711 wrote:Yes. You don't want to go where you are not really wanted.

Never know on if a recruit by another coach fits into the plans of a new coach. This puts all Verbals on alert. I hope the new coach calls all the current commits and eases their minds on if they are still wanted. I know I would be nervous. This is their future that they have to think about.

It isn't just the recruits. We'll have some roster turnover due to this as well. Agree with it or not--sad day all around.

Like I said , Sean still wants to be a Cat. Just up to the new coach to actually want him. That was one of the major reasons he committed to MSU. The coaches made him feel like they really wanted him.

If Sean wants to be a Cat, he'll be a Cat. No coach would turn down his talent, he's probably a top 5 recruit for MT.topey711 wrote:Like I said , Sean still wants to be a Cat. That is Sean's dad that posted that. I can understand the worry. His sons future is riding on this.luckyirishguy25 wrote:If Sean wants to be a Cat, he'll be a Cat. I hope, for all our benefit, that Sean's mind is put to ease by the new coaching staff, and that he comes to MSU for a great education and to be a prart of a great football tradition. Please express the excitement of us fans at the prospect of your son putting on the Blue and Gold.Bemiller49 wrote:That is Sean's dad that posted that. I can understand the worry. Sean is definitely still excited about being a Bobcat. He is still committed to playing here. He really likes the school also. It's just that little bit of uncertainty that's been thrown in the mix. Basically as long as the new coach doesn't say you don't really fit in my program, he will stay a Bobcat. I personally don't think a coach would do that but strange things happen. One of Sean's best attributes is his versatility. Any coach should be able to use him somewhere.

All the new coach has to do is turn on the tape and he should be sold on Sean fairly quickly. Good luck to Sean in everything else his senior year. Hopefully everything should work itself out the next few weeks.topey711 wrote:Sean is definitely still excited about being a Bobcat. He is still committed to playing here.
