You guys are lying to yourselves about Ash and this "second chance".

Coaches DO NOT GIVE A DAMN about background checks when they sell their soul for a kid like this. Its not just Ash but every time a coach takes on a Moss, Knight or Winston its about one thing and one thing only.

Winning football games.......PERIOD

You can try and sugar coat this but Ash did it to win first and foremost, all the other excuses are just spraying Febreze after you dumped a loaf at the Kum N Go.

For sure that's the reason, bring him in to help us win. Fortunately since Ash is the nation's poster child for how college football coaches should run a program, he has the leeway to take a chance on a questionable player now and then. Everyone knows that Rob Ash is going to do things the right way, period. Now, does he have what it takes to win a national title? Remains to be seen. Personally I think he does.

I don't have a problem with Coach's attempt to give SOME kids a second chance. I think Coach Ash has proved that if you take advantage of the opportunity good things will happen for you and if you choose to not follow the rules, you are gone. I call it strong leadership and for that I am proud of our program. I don't see this as a loss, we have great depth and several young kids that are hungry and appreciative of the opportunity that is now available to them.
