UPDATE! $10,000 challenge: Conner Firstman Scholarship Fund
$10,000 challenge gift: Conner Firstman Film Like a Champion Scholarship
UPDATE: Donations currently total $32,000—we're getting closer to the $50,000 goal! Thank you to everyone who has given. We are pleased to announce that an anonymous donor has offered to match up to $10,000 in new gifts to this scholarship to help us reach (or even beat) the $50,000 goal!
On March 1, 2014, Montana State University and Bobcat Athletics lost Conner Firstman, a talented and treasured friend to cancer. Conner was a fourth-year student in the School of Film and Photography who worked as an athletics videographer throughout his time at MSU. Conner’s videos were a regular feature at Bobcat events and several won national awards.
Following Conner's passing, his parents and grandfather launched a fundraising effort to establish the Conner Firstman Film Like a Champion Scholarship fund. The scholarship honors Conner’s humor and humanity, his spirit and his strength. MSU student Michael Van was the first to receive this very special scholarship on November 15, 2014, at the very exciting Bobcat win over Idaho State.
Can you help us get to the $50,000 goal for this scholarship? Every dollar makes a difference and it's easy to give online at http://msuaf.org/give-firstman or via mail to the MSU Foundation with Conner Firstman FLC Scholarship in the memo line. Checks may be mailed to MSU Foundation, P.O. Box 172750, Bozeman, MT 59717-2750.
Thank you for supporting MSU students and carrying Conner's amazing legacy forward!

In light of the tremendous efforts and sacrifices by Conner, and all that he did for Bobcat Athletics, I can think of no cause more worthy of our support! Let's keep his memory alive.

Bump. Also worthwhile to browse the videos made for this year's Conner Firstman A.L.L. awards (team of year, most inspirational, athletes of year, etc.) at msubobcats.com.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.
