Kellen Kollmorgen retires

Post by Colter_Nuanez » Tue Jan 20, 2015 3:22 pm

Due to a shoulder injury and a desire to pursue other opportunities, Montana State safety Kellen Kollmorgen has left the program. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound redshirt sophomore was expected to challenge for a spot on Montana State's two-deep at safety along with fellow walk-on West Wilson, redshirt freshman DeMonte King, redshirt sophomore Khari Garcia and transfers Des Carter (UAB) and Bryson McCabe (Iowa Western).

Kollmorgen suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery and cost him most of the 2014 season. He signed with Montana State in 2013 out of Waukee, Iowa. He was a preferred walk-on who signed a letter of intent because he received significant academic aid ala former offensive lineman Andy Austin.
