Do we spot them a TD?

Post by allcat » Fri Nov 21, 2014 2:13 pm

It seems that many teams move the ball fairly easily on the 1st drive. Do we spot them a td on their 1st drive?

Doutbful. Here are the Griz's first 4 drives last week.
-9 yards
-3 yards
14 yards
14 yards

16 total yards in the 1st Quarter.

Look at the Cats Defense in the second half last week.
Gave up 9 points and 185 yards. They had the #1 QB for passing TDs, and the #5 RB for rushing yards.

Hopefully we come out fired up like the first drive of the EWU game and stuff them.

Our defense will come out to play. . . offensively we have a trick or two up our sleeves. . . lets see if we use them 8)

The reason i ask is
ASU 75 yds td
BHSU 46 yds punt
CAU 14 yds punt 5 plays
UND 2 yds punt
SAC int td followed by 75yds td
Davis 7 yds punt
WSU 9 yds punt
CP 91 yds td
PSU 73 yds td
ISU 75 yds td
So it seems we stop them with essentially a 3 and out or they drive the distance. The only exception being Central Ark where they had 5 plays.

I think it is gonna be ugly when the Griz have the ball. I don't care whether you root for the Cats or the Griz, if you are a fan of football played well you only want to watch when the Cats offense goes against the Griz defense.

Interesting. Sounds like they don't score easily on the first drive and we let people score. Prop bet?

I think it's more likely that the Griz spot the bobcats a score early. Bobcats special teams have been pretty good and Griz special teams defense, not so much.

I think Cats do a special teams trick.
