WEEK 6 BSC POWER RANKINGS

Post by luckyirishguy25 » Mon Sep 29, 2014 8:15 pm

With the start of the conference schedule, we are getting a good idea of what BSC teams are looking like this year. The Bengals rocketed up the rankings this week after a great performance against Sac st, They look to throw their hat in for the wild card team this year.

.(1) EWU 4-1 - The Eagles win at UCD, Their D finally showed up for a game. They held a speedy Davis to 88 yards rushing and 260 yards passing and forced 2 turnovers. UCD only managed 10 first downs. The Eagles host a red hot ISU Bengal team fresh off an upset.

.(3) UM 3-2 - The Griz offense showed up for a half, for the first time this year and scored 35 points on the Bears, then they left. But their D played all 4 quarters and they stomped the Bears 38-13. They host a mirror image of themselves, just not as good, in UND.

.(2) MSU 3-2 - The Bobcats offense struggled against UND, Key losses of Knight, Roderick, and Flotkoetter (whose career is now over) showed as the high flying offense could only muster 29 points, their worst since the start of the season. Bobcats Head to Sacramento this week to play a beaten up Hornets team.

.(7) NAU 3-2 - The Jacks survive a barn burner in Flagstaff. Cal Poly scored late in the 4th to put them ahead of the Jacks, and they looked like they were going to hold on to it. When with 1:36 seconds left, Chase Cartwright mounted a 10 play 71 yard drive in just over 1 minute, capping it off with the winning touchdown pass. A rejuvenated NAU packs up and heads to Greeley to play the UNC Bears.

.(4) SAC 3-2 - The hornets showed a Weak defense and a propensity for shooting themselves in the foot as they turned the ball over 3 times and gave up 44 points to the Bengals. This week their home, playing the Bobcats.

.(10) ISU 2-2 - The Bengals are the biggest surprise of the BSC. The "Big Human" looks to have the Bengals in contention for the BSC for the first time in forever. Their first BSC victory of 2014 was a shellacking of Sac St, 44-24. ISU finished with 382 passing yards and 150 on the ground. They look to stay on the upset train as they head to Chenney to play EWU.

.(6) CP 1-3 - CP lost a heartbreak in Flagstaff. Chris Brown's 4th quarter TD looked send CP home with a much needed victory, but the Mustangs D let it go in the final 2 mins. The Mustangs look to rebound hosting SUU.

.(8) SUU 1-4 - The Thunderbirds got their first win in a nail biter with WSU. SUU's 4th quarter score was a enough to cap it as WSU ran out of gas. They head to San luis to try and get another W.

.(5) UCD 1-3 - The Aggies D held the Eagles to it's lowest total score this year, but their offense is awful. They face PSU in Portland looking for redemption.

.(8) WSU 0-5 - WSU stays totally defeated through week five, heartbreakers all season long for a team better than its record. WSU needs a win to snap it back in to a big sky contender. They host CP and try to get back on track.

.(11) UNC 1-3 - The Bears should be proud of at least playing 3 quarters of D in Missoula, that's more than most BSC teams. This week they host the Lumberjacks and might be able to make a game of it if they play all 4 quarters.

.(12) UND 2-3 - UND's D is okay... their Offense is atrocious... even so the ref's might have been their MVP's and kept them in the game in Bozeman last Saturday. This week they host the Griz.

.(13) PSU 1-3 - PSU barely squeaks through the bye week unscathed. They host UCD on Saturday.
