2014 BSC Season Predictions: Week 11
The season is winding down and a pair of matchups pitting No. 1 EWU vs. No. 2 UM and No. 3 PSU at No. 4 MSU. SAC hosts So. Utah in a battle to stay in the hunt.
Southern Utah at Sacramento State: The Hornets come up with a big win at home in this one. Hornets 38, T-Birds 21.
Cal Poly at Idaho State: The Mustangs run their record to 5-2 in the league with a win over a feisty Bengal squad. CP 27, ISU 24.
Weber State at North Dakota: The Sioux break through with their first league win of the season over the Wildcats, who still search for their first win. WSU 21, UND 17.
Montana at Eastern Washington: A mega-tilt becomes a mega-dud as UM can't keep up with the Eagles, who remain perfect in the league and haven't lost a BSC game since 2012. EWU 47, UM 24.
Portland State at Montana State: PSU had been flying high, but the Bobcats bring them down to earth a bit in another game that doesn't live up to its billing. MSU 31, PSU 14.
UC Davis at NAU: From close to sea level to 7,000 feet isn't good for the Aggies. NAU 28, UC Davis 24.

So is Portland State playing two schedules? Do they have one loss or two?

I gotta start making more mistakes. It's the only way I can get comments on these threads. I made the SAC fan mad by using SSU as their acronym. Then a Griz fan got at me for mistaking SAC for So. Utah.Helcat72 wrote:So is Portland State playing two schedules? Do they have one loss or two?

I'm betting comments will pick up for week 13. We do read them - keep it up! Thx.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

Noway in hell EWU beats us by that much...
You'd have to go back 17 seasons to find an FCS team that beat Montana that bad and that includes 34 playoff games.

EW should have beaten UM that bad the last 2 years. Both games they took their foot off the gas for sportsmanship and let the Griz get some garbage points. I see this happening again so yeah, 17 may be too big of a spread.09griz wrote:Noway in hell EWU beats us by that much...

Re: 2014 BSC Season Predictions: Week 11
This is wrong....we were up late in the 4th and an onside kick sunk us 2 years ago. We played a hell of a game that day but came up short. If I remember two Peter win fumbles were the difference. A punt and fumble going in. So if ewu beats us it won't be by the margins TomCat is predicting. I agree last year was a rout and our defense crapped the bed.CARDIAC_CATS wrote:EW should have beaten UM that bad the last 2 years. While you're at it please weigh in on this prediction by pussycatzkiller over on egriz. Oh, is that you?09griz wrote:CluelessCARDIAC_CATS wrote:EW should have beaten UM that bad the last 2 years. Montana: 21
Wyoming: 14
10 to 7 in OT to seal it
(I'll add that UM hasn't beat a FBS team not named Idaho longer ago than than the W. Illinois 52-9 loss.)

The Griz are 3-5 vs FBS teams since then and Wyo is no Oregon, Iowa or Tennessee...
I'm more interested in you weighing in on this prediction:

Re: 2014 BSC Season Predictions: Week 11
Over the last 18 years, the UM-EWU matchup has just about always gone down to the wire. I don't see any reason that this year's game won't be the same. Now, if our defense plays like Sh%t again for one quarter against EWU like in 2013, then I could see it getting out of hand. But EWU doesn't have the greatest defense either. I see this game coming down to a shootout.09griz wrote:CluelessCARDIAC_CATS wrote:EW should have beaten UM that bad the last 2 years. So you win 21-14 after outscoring Wyoming 10-7 in OT? Help me with the math on that.09griz wrote:Not much to weigh in onTomCat88 wrote:While you're at it please weigh in on this prediction by pussycatzkiller over on egriz. Idaho was no 2014 Wyoming when you played them either and most of those games went down to the wire during an era when UM went to two NC games and was in the midst of 12 straight league titles. The 2014 UM isn't as good as those teams playing Idaho and those Idaho teams (11 wins in four seasons from 2000-03) are worse than this 2014 Wyoming team.
I just want to know how it's OK for you to predict UM to beat a FBS team not named Idaho for the first time since 1994, but it's not OK for you to lose to EWU on the road by 23 just because it hasn't happened since the 52-9 loss to WIU? Doesn't make sense for you to be critical of one, but not the other.

I see you're doubling down on being critical of my picks, while being OK with your own picks. I'm not sure why we are arguing about beating FBS school bc 99% chance neither wins the FBS game this year.09griz wrote:Not much to weigh in onTomCat88 wrote:While you're at it please weigh in on this prediction by pussycatzkiller over on egriz.
