And only about two months to go before pre-season practices start. I think that begins on July 28 or Aug. 4.

98 - Tyrone Fa'anono: highly rated true frosh out of Oxnard, Calif., who is slated to play the DL in years to come.
97 - Connor Thomas: emerging soph DT, who had a big spring session and is now challenging for playing time this season.
96 - Wilson Brott: preferred walkon true frosh out of Billings West, who stands 6-foot-7 and will play tight end.
95 - Zach Hutchins: red-shirt soph, who could be a key to the season at DE, which is the position on defense with the biggest question mark.
94 - Devin Jeffries: red-shirt frosh, who was AA def. MVP and Shrine Game def. MVP, appeared to be the heir at Bandit before a bad ankle injury shelved him in the spring.
93 - Lee Perkins: senior tight end backs up starter Tiai Salanoa and is more than an adequate when the oft-injured Salanoa is out giving MSU the best tight end duo in the BSC.
92 - Tucker Yates: true frosh out of Colstrip, who possesses a rare combination of toughness, size, strength and agility for an incoming FCS DT.
91 - Joey Michaels: reserve TE transfer out of Pacific, who has stuck with the team after joining to create some depth at the position.
91 - Robert Wilcox: transfer DE from Grambling, who was among the favorites to take over the position vacated by Preston Gale, but tore his ACL in the spring.
90 - Taylor Sheridan: junior starting defensive tackle will see increased playing time this season after turning heads with his play in 2013. Not many people know he was second on the team in sacks and fourth in TFL despite starting just five games. He played at 277 pounds, but has reportedly bulked up to around 290 and is set to emerge as one of the best DTs in the Big Sky.
89 - Curtis Amos: one of several highly touted incoming freshman, who is likely to get playing time in 2015 with MSU losing two TEs. Amos was a 3-star on 247 and rated the 10th best TE in Texas.
88 - John D'Agostino: the Bozeman High product was one of the top pass catchers in the AA and will walk-on to MSU at WR in the fall after helping the Hawks to the AA title.
(62) - Matt Brownlow: walked on to MSU from Missoula Sentinel last fall and enters his red-shirt freshman year as a reserve defensive tackle.
87 - No one wearing 87...yet. Maybe this is because they're saving it for a transfer?
(61) - Austin Oldenburger: long discussed as a possible Bobcat on BN.com that came to fruition on Signing Day 2014 as he was picked up to play center.
86 - Justin Paige: had some eye-popping catches for his run-oriented team that caught the eye of MSU and it hooked him as part of its 2014 recruit class.
(60) - Dylan Mahoney: a red-shirt freshman out of CMR, who is showing progress on the OL and is likely to land on the two-deep this fall.
85 - Will Krolick: the red-shirt sophomore out of Alaska could be battling for a spot on the two-deep this fall as there are only seven non-true freshmen in the WR corps, but MSU is expected to bring in a transfer.
(59) - Fletcher Collins: another red-shirt sophomore, who is also the second biggest LB on the team at 230, has a solid shot at a spot on the two-deep. Excluding injured LBs and incoming frosh LBs there are only seven LBs on roster and one of those, Christensen, is coming off a serious knee injury.
84 - Brian Flotkoetter: as the only WR with significant playing time he could be the player most heavily leaned upon in the 2014 season barring the discovery of a dynamic WR within the ranks or a transfer. Tanner Roderick could ease that significantly, but he might end up at QB. Flotkoetter has caught 60 passes the past two seasons and was second on the team with 36 for 530 yards and 3 TDs last season.
(58) - Rhett Young: one of the better players on the team, but he's been slowed by injuries throughout his career. He's solidly in the no. 2 MLB slot and contributes significantly on special teams. Filled in well last year when the MLB positions were hit hard by injuries, coming back from injury himself. He had 15 tackles with 3.5 for loss, which was fifth on the team in just six games.
83 - Manny Kalfell: due to injuries, grades and departures Kalfell found himself taking snaps with the 1s for a stretch of spring ball. The junior had one reception for 15 yards last season.
(57) - Eric Prevost: one of the most hyped players of MSU's 2014 recruiting class, Prevost brings instant depth to MSU's LB corps, if needed, which appears more likely than not.
82 - Mitchell Herbert: tall WR with excellent all-around skills from playing multiple offensive positions in HS was one of several prized recruits on Signing Day 2014. Should MSU not bring in a transfer, Herbert could play as a RS frosh due in part to his frame and also his experience.
(56) - Rocky Hogue: the RS freshman long snapper looked brilliant in the fall, but was one of the many players injured before the 2013 season. He was wrestled away from Sacramento State after he was set to walk-on there.
81 - Jacob Stanton: another young WR with an opportunity that seems to be increasing as the days go by. Stanton, who played for his dad Jim at Billings Central, had a very good prep career and has a solid football IQ.
(55) - John Weidenaar: is entering his third year as the starting left tackle and is a key player for what is probably the strongest unit for the Bobcats. Protecting a new starting QB's back could just be the biggest task for MSU and the primary onus falls on Weidenaar.
80 - Tiai Salanoa: named a captain of the 2014 team as a TE. He's battled injuries over his career, but is highly effective when playing. A very good blocking and pass-catching TE, who could thrive in MSU's 2014 offense in both roles.
(54) - Monte Folsom: has been a bit of an enigma since arriving after a two-year mission. Some reports had him at 290 and playing DT, while others said he's 255 and playing LB, where he was Class A MVP.
79 - Quinn Catalano: not only a solid OT, he can play all positions along the line. Along with Salanoa, he gives the offense a great deal of concentrated experience, skill and leadership up front, which is something that could prove to be pivotal in 2014 as new players take over several skill positions.
(53) - Robert Walsh: a sharp student, the linebacker and junior-to-be is still looking for his first tackle, which could come this season considering the numbers at LB.
78 - Jan Stenerud: NFL Hall of Fame kicker. Seven-time All-Pro, three-time All-AFL, Super Bowl champion, and Pro Bowl MVP.
(52) - Sonny Holland: four-year starter and three-time All-America. Center on 1956 national championship team and coach of 1976 national championship team.
77 - Bill Kollar: Senior Bowl defensive MVP and 1st Round NFL Draft pick, who spent eight years playing in the NFL and is currently the defensive line coach for the Houston Texans.
(51) - With Michael Foster no longer on the roster #51 is not assigned to anyone at this point.
76 - Roshan Dias Abeygunawardena: There are two #74s and no #76, so I'm moving RDA (great acronym for a 6-4, 275 true frosh OL) to this spot. RDA was a late preferred walk-on out of Minnesota giving MSU four TF OL in the 2014 class.
(50) - Nate Bignell: the versatile junior is part of a solid DT rotation and can do short snapping for STs. An injury and suspension cost him valuable playing time last season, but he appears to be back on track to becoming a strong contributor in his final two seasons.
75 - JP Flynn: started just eight games at OG as a frosh last year yet still named 3rd Team All-BSC. Budding star considered by some to be the best player on the team.
(49) - Mac Bignell: the freshman turned some heads by showing progress at strong-side linebacker this spring, but is listed as a defensive back. His emergence could solve some depth issues at LB.
74 - Wade Webster: one of the four massive (they total 1,160 lbs; avg. wt.: 290; avg. ht. 6-4.5) freshmen OL to come to MSU in the class of 2014. Webster, like Flynn, comes to the Bobcats from Bettendorf, Iowa and is one of three players from the Hawkeye State.
(48) - Luke Halliburton: an emerging player at DE, who could work his way into games a pass rush specialist and excels on special teams. Speaking of Iowa, Halliburton's grandfather played his college football for the Hawkeyes.
73 - Caleb Gillis: a walk-on RS frosh, who contributed well on the scout team last season as an offensive lineman.
(47) - Taylor Dees: an experienced DT, who started all 12 games in 2013 and played well especially toward the end of the season. Has more starts than all the other DL combined and is athletic/versatile enough to play DE, which he did this spring.
72 - No players listed at #72.
(46) - No players listed at #46.
71 - Alex Eekhoff: is battling for the right OT spot where he started the first four games of 2013 before an injury kept him out of Game 5 vs. UND and he never won his spot back. Has a ton of game experience from playing STs and some TE as a freshman.
(45) - Luke Daly: red-shirt frosh competing for the place-kicking duties with incoming frosh Trevan Thompson and junior Trevor Bolton.
70 - Joel Horn: like Eekhoff, Horn is battling for the starting center spot (part of the much-publicized Horn vs. Eekhoff battle that isn't for the same position) and while he has no starts, he has seen plenty of action on STs. Should Horn win the job he'd be the biggest OL starter at 320 lbs and MSU would average over 300 lbs across the line.
(44) - Koni Dole: one of the most inspirational stories you'll hear of coming out of college football. A true freshman Dole plays despite losing the lower part of his right leg.
69 - Eric Williamson: a late walk-on defensive lineman in 2013 out of Polson, who has great speed off the edge.
(43) - Alex Singleton: two-year starter at linebacker and team captain, who is poised to have a big season. He's on the CFPA's Linebackers Watch List and is a strong candidate to be on the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List. Led the team in tackles, was third in the BSC in tackles for loss and tied for third in interceptions.
68 - Dillon Fraley: a solid backup OL, who will make a run at a starting slot in 2015. He was a scout team player of the week during the 2013 campaign.
(42) - Trevan Timmer: an intriguing player whose stock was on the rise before an injury during his senior year of HS. It'll be interesting to follow his development after redshirting in 2013.
67 - Zach Wright: the San Antonio-area defensive end brings a strong work ethic and drive to win after 2014 recruit's prep team totaled just nine wins in his career.
(41) - Grant Collins: the highly touted recruit just gave a glimpse of what's he's all about at the Badlands Bowl on Saturday. A fast, physical presence with prototype LB build.
66 - Andrew Alt: the former Roundup, Mont. star walked on last season and is working his way into a backup OL and special teams role.
(40) - Cody Vitt: a powerful, prolific running back for Class C Fairview, who is looking to crack the deep running back depth chart this season.
65 - Doug Hanson: a highly decorated OL out of Mission Viejo HS, who along with either Eekhoff or Horn, Fraley and Mahoney provides great depth across the OL.
(39) - Noah James: a productive prep running back, who's a preferred walk-on in 2014. Broke his leg early in Glacier's playoff run that finished in a runner-up trophy.
64 - Joey Marinello: at 320 lbs he could be the biggest recruit in MSU history. Like his OL classmates the 6-5 true freshman has the luxury of being able to red-shirt and learn.
(38) - Trace Timmer: was injured during the past season, but saw action in five games. Rolling into his junior campaign he'll be looking to move up the depth chart this fall.
63 - Kyle Godecke: has 21 starts under his belt entering just his junior season. Came to MSU at 6-5, 292 and is now up to 315. Should Joel Horn (320) snag the center spot the Bobcats will have a massive interior line averaging 313 lbs with the 304 lb. JP Flynn at the other guard spot.
(37) - Deonte Flowers: arguably the most consistently good cornerback in MSU history. Flowers enters his third season as a starter and played considerably his true freshman year with 39 tackles and a team-high eight pass breakups. He has 151 tackles and 24 pass breakups in his career, including a league-high 12 last season.
62 - Matt Brownlow: a late walkon in 2013, the redshirt frosh gives MSU depth along the defensive line as he works toward a spot as a backup.
(36) - DeMonte King: one of the numerous quality recruits in the 2014 class that could push for playing time as a true freshman. Has the build of a safety, but equipped with cornerback skills.
61 - Austin Oldenburger: was on MSU's recruiting radar early in his prep career. Suffered what appears to be a serious knee injury in the Badlands Bowl last week, but there's been no confirmation of its extent.
(35) - Braelen Evans: a 2014 recruit out of the host city of the FCS national championship game (Frisco, Tex.). Evans, a cornerback, is expected to contribute early in his career.
60 - Dylan Mahoney: is still growing into his 6-6 frame after red-shirting in 2013. He's showing steady progress and could make a surprise push at RT this fall.
(34) - Blake Braun: a promising LB, who played in 2013 as a true freshman. His status is uncertain for 2014 season after shoulder surgery and he may red-shirt and come back in 2015.
59 - Fletcher Collins: a sophomore linebacker, who's trying to crack the two-deep. Maintained a spot on special teams in 2013 and is likely to do the same in 2014.
(33) - Matt Stewart: this big, strong punter was a part of the 2014 recruiting class. He has a tremendous leg and averaged 46 yards per punt in HS thanks to his weight room prowess.
58 - Rhett Young: if ever there was a sleeper pick he would be it. Young enters his senior season as a great player who hasn't been able to showcase his skills much due to injuries and playing in a talent-rich LB group. He has 5.5 TFL in his career despite appearing in just 14 games primarily as a backup. His 3.5 TFL in 2013 was fifth on the team, but he appeared in just six games.
(32) - No players listed at #32.
57 - Eric Prevost: one of the most hyped players of MSU's 2014 recruiting class, Prevost brings instant depth to MSU's LB corps, if needed.
(31) - Tavon Dodd: a highly decorated running back out of Houston, who's size belies a powerful runner. Played multiple positions in high school.
56 - Rocky Hogue: the RS freshman long snapper looked brilliant in the fall, but was one of the many players injured before the 2013 season. He was wrestled away from Sacramento State after he was set to walk-on there.
(30) - Trevor Bolton: the junior holds down the kickoff duties and is the roll punt specialist pinning the opponent inside the 20 12 times on just 17 punts and 20 of his 31 career punts have resulted in the opponent starting inside the 20. He'll compete for the FG and XP duties this fall with Luke Daly and Trevin Thompson.
(30) - West Wilson: was a late walk-on who has caught the eye of coaches and, with Eryon Barnett and Rob Marshall graduating, is expected to compete for a spot in the two-deep next year.
55 - John Weidenaar: is entering his third year as the starting left tackle and is a key player for what is probably the strongest unit for the Bobcats. Protecting a new starting QB's back could just be the biggest task for MSU and the primary onus falls on Weidenaar.
(29) - Brandon Davis: transferred to MSU from Louisiana Tech, where he ran for 112 yards on 21 carries as a frosh, in 2013. Explosive runner, who missed most of the season with an injury, but had 58 yards on nine carries and a TD. A good fit in Cramsey's offense.
54 - Monte Folsom: has been a bit of an enigma since arriving after a two-year mission. Some reports had him at 290 and playing DT, while others said he's 255 and playing LB, where he was Class A MVP.
(28) - Kellen Kollmorgen: the redshirt frosh will be looking to move up the deep depth chart at safety and possibly get some special teams time. Cousin of No. Iowa starting QB Sawyer Kollmorgen.
53 - Robert Walsh: a sharp student, the linebacker and junior-to-be is still looking for his first tackle, which could come this season considering the numbers at LB.
(27) - Gunnar Brekke: should see vastly increased playing time due to his skill set and the offensive philosophy. Has had a great off-season on the field and in the weight room adding strength to his excellent speed and great vision.
52 - four-year starter and three-time All-America. Center on 1956 national championship team and coach of 1976 national championship team.
(26) - Hunter Mahlum: preferred walk-on out of Missoula Hellgate, who will start his career as a defensive back and most likely red-shirt in 2014.
(26) - Trevin Thompson: a record-setting and highly decorated kicker with a booming leg from the Helena High factory that has produced Dan Carpenter and Ben Chaet in recent years. He'll battle Luke Daly and Trevor Bolton for kicking duties this fall.
51 - With Michael Foster no longer on the roster #51 is not assigned to anyone at this point.
(25) - James Nelson: a special teams ace, who, like Rhett Young, is a solid player that has had injuries pop up at inopportune times. Enters 2014 as the nickelback and provides quality depth at cornerback.
50 - Nate Bignell: the versatile junior is part of a solid DT rotation and can do short snapping for STs. An injury and suspension cost him valuable playing time last season, but he appears to be back on track to becoming a strong contributor in his final two seasons.
(24) - Bryce Alley: a popular pickup with BN.com posters in the 2014 class despite being the lone starting DB on the team that didn't attain 1st or 2nd team All District mention. Played for powerhouse North Shore in the Houston area.
49 - Mac Bignell: the freshman turned some heads by showing progress at strong-side linebacker this spring, but is listed as a defensive back. His emergence could solve the issue of using true freshmen at LB.
(23) - Nick LaSane: the red-shirt frosh RB keeps getting overlooked or forgotten by fans due to all the talent at the position, but he could be a breakout player this season. Knee injuries are reason to give pause when considering his impact, but he looked solid during spring and his size/speed combo is formidable.
48 - Luke Halliburton: an emerging player at DE, who could work his way into games a pass rush specialist and excels on special teams. Speaking of Iowa, Halliburton's grandfather played his college football for the Hawkeyes.
(22) - Eryon Barnett: was granted a sixth year of eligibility due to numerous injuries that cut into his playing time. A four-star recruit coming out of Euless Trinity, he is one of the biggest hitters on defense and a key to MSU's success this season IF he stays healthy.
47 - Taylor Dees: versatile DL player, who played DE in spring, but will move back to DT where he started last season and spearheads a solid four-man rotation.
(21) - No #21 retired for Don Hass.
46 - No player has been issued #46.
(20) - Jaylen Price: red-shirt freshman cornerback, who is probably the fastest player on the team. Probaby the #4 cornerback on the team. 2014 will be a big season for him to get some experience since Flowers and Nelson will graduate, which opens up a starting spot in 2015.
45 - Luke Daly: red-shirt frosh competing for the place-kicking duties with incoming frosh Trevan Thompson and junior Trevor Bolton. Converted 7 of 8 FGs in the final spring game.
(19) - Jayshawn Gates: another red-shirt frosh who turned heads during the spring. He's in the hunt for a starting spot at WR due to his speed and moves, which are probably at the top of the chart for the position.
44 - Koni Dole: one of the most inspirational stories you'll hear of coming out of college football. A true freshman Dole plays despite losing the lower part of his right leg.
(18) - Bo Hughes: a stout redshirt freshman safety, who will be looking to move up the depth chart and get some special teams time this season. One of three Missoula players on the roster.
(18) - Conner Sullivan: another of the gifted members of the 2014 recruiting class. He has the frame and ability to be a big time WR, but is most likely slated to redshirt his first season to adjust mentally and physically from playing 8-man football to FCS ball.
43 - Alex Singleton: two-year starter at linebacker and team captain, who is poised to have a big season. He's on the CFPA's Linebackers Watch List and is a strong candidate to be on the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List. Led the team in tackles, was third in the BSC in tackles for loss and tied for third in interceptions.
(17) - Chad Newell: most fans think backup running back when they hear Newell's name, but his recent accolades as special teams player have them thinking front line star. Newell was second team All-BSC ST player in 2013 and is the preseason first team ST player this season. Newell will most likely see a significant increase in his playing time at RB within MSU's multiple variations on offense.
42 - Trevan Timmer: an intriguing player whose stock was on the rise before an injury during his senior year of HS. It'll be interesting to follow his development after redshirting in 2013.
(16) - Cole Moore: the senior captain is one of the most interesting stories on the football team and is a testament to the length MSU coaches go to find players. Born in England, went to multiple high schools across the U.S., and recently returned from Portugal to work on a new home with Habitat for Humanity for a family recently removed from a domestically violent situation. Moore is a linchpin at LB in MSU's defense where he has to be versatile enough to cover WRs regularly. He was second on the team in INTs and pass breakups.
41 - Grant Collins: the highly touted recruit just gave a glimpse of what's he's all about at the Badlands Bowl on Saturday. A fast, physical presence with prototype LB build.
(15) - Austin Barth: a rapidly improving TE with good size (6-4, 240) and great hands. He saw considerable action on the punt cover team as the long snapper. If not this season, when he's expected to be on the field on passing downs, his roll will increase dramatically in 2015 with both TEs ahead of him set to graduate.
40 - Cody Vitt: a powerful, prolific running back for Class C Fairview, who is looking to crack the deep running back depth chart this season.
(14) - Quinn McQueary: the RS frosh is in the hunt for the starting QB spot despite missing most of the spring with an ailing back. Probably the most athletic of the three candidates.
(14) - Toti Moeakiola: the most recent of the Euless Trinity alumni to join the team. Appears to be headed for a RS year, but his insights into the program could help change that.
39 - Noah James: a productive prep running back, who's a preferred walk-on in 2014. Broke his leg early in Glacier's playoff run that finished in a runner-up trophy.
(13) - Mitch Griebel: the athletic junior finds himself in the hunt for the starting spot at slot receiver. A record-setting QB in high school, he also serves as holder on place kicks scoring twice on PAT runs and also throwing for a PAT.
38 - Trace Timmer: was injured during the past season, but saw action in five games. Rolling into his junior campaign he'll be looking to move up the depth chart this fall.
(12) - Khari Garcia: a promising RS freshman safety, who is looking to crack the two-deep this fall. He was a two-time all-league player at Charter Oak in Los Angeles and a team captain.
37 - Deonte Flowers: arguably the most consistently good cornerback in MSU history. Flowers enters his third season as a starter and played considerably his true freshman year with 39 tackles and a team-high eight pass breakups. He has 151 tackles and 24 pass breakups in his career, including a league-high 12 last season.
(11) - Wyatt Christensen: is coming off a knee injury, but is expected to backup Alex Singleton at OLB. He played in four games and had five tackles in 2013. He's also a key player on cover teams.
(11) - Tanner Roderick: is one of the top athletes on the team and is one of the keys to MSU's success in 2014. He recently moved back to WR where MSU lost two starters and is young and unproven outside of Brian Flotkoetter. He was a WR as a sophomore in HS and caught 31 passes for 592 yards (19.1) and eight TDs and had 12 catches for 146 yards as a backup and after missing four games.
36 - DeMonte King: one of the numerous quality recruits in the 2014 class that could push for playing time as a true freshman. Has the build of a safety, but equipped with cornerback skills.
(10) - Odin Coe: has moved into one of the marquee positions on defense at bandit. Coe has the speed, size and strength to be dominant in the position. He had 7.5 TFL and 3.5 sacks last season, but has battled injuries throughout his career missing his frosh campaign entirely and part of spring ball.
35 - Braelen Evans: a 2014 recruit out of the host city of the FCS national championship game (Frisco, Tex.). Evans, a cornerback, is expected to contribute early in his career.
(9) - Anthony Knight: a junior RB, who transfers in from Riverside CC after a stint at Nevada. A big (6-1, 240), powerful runner, he averaged 6.3 per carry at Riverside and over 12.0 during his prep career in Massachusetts. Ran for 10 yards and a TD on four carries at Nevada.
34 - Blake Braun: a promising LB, who played in 2013 as a true freshman. His status is uncertain for 2014 season after shoulder surgery and he may red-shirt and come back in 2015.
(8) - No player has been issued #8.
33 - Matt Stewart: this big, strong punter was a part of the 2014 recruiting class. He has a tremendous leg and averaged 46 yards per punt in HS thanks to his weight room prowess.
(7) - David Dash: the senior is in the hunt for starting honors at slot receiver. He's been a bit of an enigma since arriving as a 3-star recruit out of southern California and playing as a true frosh. His career took a downturn from there and he's played sparingly with last season being his brightest with seven receptions for 68 yards.
32 - No players listed at #32.
(6) - Cody Cleveland: hard-hitting No. 2 safety, who often turns heads at scrimmages with his big hits. He's also a big presence on special teams.
31 - Tavon Dodd: a highly decorated running back/defensive back out of Houston, who's size belies a powerful runner. Played multiple positions in high school.
(5) - Robert Marshall: bailed out an injury-riddled safety position, which saw three of the other top four at that spot hindered or knocked out by injury. He finished 2013 sixth on the team in tackles and has locked down one of the two starting spots.
(5) - Dakota Prukop: is in a heated battle with Jake Bleskin for the starting QB spot. Came in as a highly rated prospect and is one of the few, if not the only, 3-star rated QBs to sign with a BSC team out of high school. He's an excellent runner, who has shown continuous improvement since joining the program.
30 - Trevor Bolton: the junior holds down the kickoff duties and is the roll punt specialist pinning the opponent inside the 20 12 times on just 17 punts and 20 of his 31 career punts have resulted in the opponent starting inside the 20. He'll compete for the FG and XP duties this fall with Luke Daly and Trevin Thompson.
(4) - Shawn Johnson: enters his senior season as one of the most dynamic players in the Big Sky. He'll likely be the No. 1 RB and handle a bulk of the punt and kickoff returns. One of the fastest and strongest (pound-for-pound) players on the team and in the league. Also one of the top RBs in the BSC at breaking out the backfield and into passing lanes.
29 - Brandon Davis: transferred to MSU from Louisiana Tech, where he ran for 112 yards on 21 carries as a frosh, in 2013. Explosive runner, who missed most of the season with an injury, but had 58 yards on nine carries and a TD. A good fit in Cramsey's offense.
(3) - Bryson Keeton: key arrival at cornerback, who got a lot of attention during the spring and is the favorite to start opposite Deonte Flowers. He had gotten considerable playing time at Nevada in his two years there playing in 16 games and recording 38 tackles and three pass breakups last season. Regardless of how his career turns out, he'll always have the distinction of being the first college player to intercept a Jameis Winston pass.
28 - Kellen Kollmorgen: the redshirt frosh will be looking to move up the deep depth chart at safety and possibly get some special teams time. Cousin of No. Iowa starting QB Sawyer Kollmorgen.
(2) - Jake Bleskin: is in a heated battle for the starting QB spot. A gifted three-sport athlete out of high school, he brings experience and knowledge to the position. Possesses a strong, accurate arm and completed 56 of 87 (64.4) passes for 690 yards and 6 TDs over less than a 3-game (Mesa, SFA, UND) stretch last season. Has also improved at running the ball.
(2) - Na'a Moeakiola: the two-year senior captain is coming back from a shoulder injury that sidelined him in 2013. He's likely the biggest addition to the lineup bringing leadership and a high-level of playing ability to the MLB spot as the teams fastest LB. Came in four years ago around 200 pounds, but has added about 25 pounds to his frame.
27 - Gunnar Brekke: should see vastly increased playing time due to his skill set and the offensive philosophy. Has had a great off-season on the field and in the weight room adding strength to his excellent speed and great vision.
(1) - Garrett Marino: the long road from high school to college is still not completely traveled for this talented DE. Rated as high as 4-star by one recruiting site, the sky's the limit if he can get everything in order.

Didn't Perkins go out with an injury last year, too?

He had knee surgery two summers ago, but played the whole year last year. He got banged up during the year a few times, but never missed any substantial time.

Doesn't seem like we run twin TE formations much anymore if at all... didn't we used to do that a few years ago? Maybe see more of it this year?

Not to contradict you but didn't Tiai and Lee both miss most of the UNC game? Cuz I thought I remembered Barth having to play most of that game

In the past, guys like Perkins and Kyle Begger have been listed at TE, but as the second TE, they ended up getting a lot of snaps lined up in the backfield as a lead blocker. I think in Begger's case there was a year where he was actually the starting TE, but then played in the backfield in some formations because using a 6'2" lead blocker with experience in the backfield makes a lot more sense than trying to teach a 6'5" Robison or Foster how to stay low coming out of the backfield and across the line of scrimmage to the linebacker level.

In other years, there have been big, tough running backs like Tray Robinson, who forced his way onto the field in that role by being a good blocker but also an athlete who can make plays with the ball. Last year, the Cats were thin at TE and Chad Newell did a lot of good things with the football.

92 - Tucker Yates: true frosh out of Colstrip, who possess a rare combination of toughness, size, strength and agility for an incoming FCS DT.

Tom Cat - Love this thread... Great way for all of us to learn about the Cats both famous and new......Excellent way to promote board activity during these "quiet" days that we crave some football......My suggestion tho is to keep the concept, but do three a day and get everybody done BEFORE camp..... We will have a chance to discuss ALL the players and then when things get nuts the 2 weeks before the season, we won't miss roster numbers 1 through 20 like last year.....There was just too much happening for anyone to care as much at that point. I know I won't be accurate, but I believe this thread fizzled out around player #25-24 last August.... Just a positive suggestion....THX for doing it. GO CATS !!

I don't think it was a Bobcat Nation thread that fizzled, it was one on the Bobcat's athletics site. I do believe there were links through Bobcat nation.

You are probably right in that, the Bobcat's athletic office probably became too swamped in those last few weeks before camp to finish the series. The year before they stopped even earlier.

Good idea!
I found out today that camp starts on Aug. 4 (about 65 days), so I'll do two one day, then one the next and that should go through them before camp starts up.

In other news, Kellen Kollmorgon is switching to #28. :)

Talked to a good source today who told me that Sheridan looks very good and that Dees really liked playing DE this spring. It's going to be interesting to see how the DL ends up come August. Coe and Sheridan are probably locks at Bandit and DT, respectively, but with Thomas coming on at DT and some uncertainty at the other DE spot things could be shaken up a bit. There's a lot of good players along the DL with Bignell, Hutchins, Jeffries and possibly Marino, among others. The LBs and secondary look fairly set barring injury.

Oops, I stuck 89 with 90 when there were 90 days left and now I don't have an 89 for 89 days left. We just can't have that, so, what I'll do beginning tomorrow is I'll put the lowest number with the appropriate day. Tomorrow it will be #88 with #1. This is so intense. See you then. :)

Decided to go with both of the numbers in the topic instead of the number to go until the first game and the lowest number on the roster. I'll get this figured out yet.

87 - No one wearing 87...yet. Maybe this is because they're saving it for a transfer?

(61) - Austin Oldenburger: long discussed as a possible Bobcat on BN.com that came to fruition on Signing Day 2014 as he was picked up to play center.

86 - Justin Paige: had some eye-popping catches for his run-oriented prep team that caught the eye of MSU and it hooked him as part of its 2014 recruit class.

(60) - Dylan Mahoney: a red-shirt freshman out of CMR, who is showing progress on the OL and is likely to land on the two-deep this fall.
