Des Carter 6-2 205 Safety out of Pomona, CA. Looks like he was a 3-star player out of HS who initially went to Nevada, then went to a JC for a year before heading to UAB. Also sounds like he's visiting UND. I'm unclear if he would come in as a Junior or Senior.

He is close with Anthony knight I'm guessing. Went to Nevada, then went to the same JUCO as Knight. I think we have a good chance to get him.
If Knight is happy here anyway...

Like how pumped he gets when he makes a big play. Hope he can stay thirsty for that feeling.

On a side note maybe he can give the current film/highlight reel makers, or lack there of, some constructive critisism or maybe do it for school credit. I believe he was coming here for film school.

I would agree he'll probably end up at tackle. He played DE in a 3-4, so was actually playing like a DT most downs. Saw a article on NW preps that he played at 265 his JR. year and lost some weight to get to 255. He could easily play at 275-280 in a couple years.

About 9.5 scholarships used at this point

Just ran across this highlight film. Probably the best I've seen all year.

Oh, I guess Laris is only a junior. Seem to be getting a lot of offers out there to 2016ers

Iowa Western JC safety Bryson McCabe, a 6-1, 200-pounder who also had offers from North Dakota and South Dakota, will sign with Montana State during the mid-year transfer period that began today. He will graduate this month and come to MSU for winter conditioning. He will have three years to play two. Montana State returns just sophomore Khari Garcia and redshirt freshman DeMonte King as scholarship players at safety, so McCabe will play right away barring any set back.

I have a message into Bryson now. I'll likely not have a story until he officially signs which could take until later this week or early next week. Stay tuned. Here's his film: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3786187/bryson-mccabe" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He hasn't been offered by Montana State. He has all his letters in front of him, wants to wait to see if MSU offers before he signs. I doubt he'll sign with the Bobcats.

I thought he said this a week or so ago?
Don't know how but I just managed to steal an offer from Montana State. Continuously being blessed even when I know I don't deserve it. #G2G
Your list also says he has been offered as well

As long as we don't hear any Peabo Bryson, I'll be looking forward to this.

You know, I'm just going to go ahead and "boo" myself.

Yeah, texted with him last night and to have a solid offer during the mid-year transfer signing period, you have to have the letter of intent in front of you. He still has not received it so he doesn't officially have an offer. I put he did when I saw that tweet and talked to him, but sources say he will not be offered and McCabe will be the only transfer signed this period.

I really enjoyed the part where he told ndsu"I'll see you in the playoffs" after they asked him to walk on. I like the attitude. .we could certainly use some of that on the field.

On another note..the transfer from uab? Has he committed or is this just an assumption that des will be committing?

Wouldn't McCabe have 3 years to play 3? He redshirted one year, and played one year JC. Wouldn't that give him 3 more years to play?
