Only thing I'm looking forward to is going on my visit to Montana State this weekend man!
Kids film looks pretty good but seems odd, looks like he's a RB. I thought I read some where we didn't recruit a RB this year because we didn't need one. I wonder if someone's leaving?

Ok, that makes sense......

The NAIA schools really need their own name and identity.

There was a tweeter who was made a Montana State for dropping Track and Tennis while putting all their money toward football.......turns out he was talking about Eastern Montana College!!!!!!

My 2 degrees, my wife I met there, and my wrestling team's 2 national titles while I was there argue otherwise.

Congrats on your accomplishments! Those wrestling titles were and are HUGE deals, I was around when UGF was first starting to dominate, those national titles are almost impossible.

Havre still sucks though

The original comment was feeling bad for the kid for being at Northern. I didn't argue about Havre.

The addition of Woods bring this class to 34 players. I'm counting Sandland in this class.

I don't know if anybody has seen this or not, but coach Eck tweeted the cats are looking for 2 more transfers and if anybody knew of anybody to DM him. I know I have never seen another coach at MSU do this and I think he would definitely have to ask coach Ash before he tweeted it. I find it kind of odd that he would send a tweet out like that, anybody else find this weird?

I don't think it's a secret that we're still open for business on the recruiting front. Didn't ash say as much on signing day?

I was thinking more of the lines like it's weird because anybody could tweet back at him telling him to take my kid, or someone subtweeting a kid and putting Eck in on the tweet making it look like the kid is being shopped around publicly. Just seems weird he would want that message out there on social media. I wasn't referring to the fact about filling some needs I was referring to the method.

I'm not sure on all of this, but aren't there rules against coaches directly reaching out to players who are currently under scholarship at other schools? Doesn't the player need to be the one who initiates first contact?

If so, one of those "if you happen to know of anybody" public tweets could be a good way for a coach to put the word out indirectly to guys who they may even have their eyes on (but can't directly contact) to reach out to the coach to initiate some discussions.

I'm thinking of it like the headhunters we always hear from -- they always phrase it as "let me know if you know of anybody who might be good for this role," but what they are really saying is, "If you are sick of your job and you are interested in this role, let me know."

******, that's what they mean? This would have been great to know about five or ten years ago.

I'm really, really bad at subtext.
