I was up checking out the stadium last night and the blue rubber track surface is way off from matching the color of the field. What's the deal with this? Is there a dye that they're going to put over the top to make it a navy color or are they going to leave it as is?
If it's going to be left as is, MSU should have gone with a black surface instead. JMO
The company putting the stuff down brought the wrong color of rubber pellets. They are going to finish the surface for our game Saturday(maybe spray painting it dark blue?) and then after our game they will rip up the stuff and come back with the right color to redo it before our next game.

Whew!!! I'm glad you found that out, I've been uncomfortable since I first saw the pellets last Tues. I know you made a comment earlier that the color would darken as it cured, but after being up there agin Fri. afternoon I just didn't see that happening. The pellets they brought down are almost turquoise, but the urethane they spread underneath appeared to be the right color. I don't think the matting even when redone will be as dark as the endzone, but will pretty much match the blue in the stands, north pavillion, etc.
I wonder if they have to strip it all the way to the asphalt and start over or if they can somehow peel up the top layer with the pellets (I'm tending to think no on the second option).
