PSU refs

Post by tetoncat » Sat Sep 22, 2018 8:58 pm

I have watched the replay of the last PSU TD 3 times. They had 5 plays. Someone said there was a penalty but there was no tv break where that could have happened.

It also seems like they don't use reviews. Possible fumble first half they didn't review. Potential targeting was not even close.

I too was confused on 5 plays (seemed like they had the ball 1st and goal from around the 8 and then scored on the fifth play)???

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I was confused and that too. My uncle has dvr and he watched multiple times and confirms it was 5 plays.

The ball moved up 3 yards on the 1st 2nd down and they were at the 6 ish so I wonder if there was an offside and SWX just did such a great job that they didn't get the refs call on it.

I missed it apparently. At what point in the game did this happen?
Will watch the replay tomorrow.

Facemask to Ifanse not called, where he fumbled the ball.
Lots of holding by PSU not called.
TA likely stepped out of bounds on the long TD run, refs missed it.
Targeting wasn't even close, it was a shoulder into the WRs arm/ribs. At least they were forced to review that one and got it correct.

3rd quarter TD on 4th Down. The Espn app play by play says there was a offside on MSU defense. Perhaps the tv announcers missed it.

The extra down was due to off-sides on Cole.

On t v there didn't seem to be a penalty. But that would explain it.

That face mask was bad! We watched it again in slomo and it totally caused the fumble. The grasp on the face mask lasted a long time and twisted his helmet on his head. When the foul started it jerked his head around 90 degrees. Someone in stripes should have seen it. Was hoping he was not injured.

At least they were equally horrible right? Missed calls for both team?

To be honest, that’s not how I saw it. But it’s hard to see it objectively from a fan’s perspective.

Nothing new. They are consistently horrible every game in the big sky. Ya just have to hope that the bad calls and/or no-calls work in your favor.

TA clearly stepped out of bounds on the long TD run, there were TWO frickin refs in position, and they both missed it. Ha, just terrible.

The “targeting call”... hahahaha. My god, what a joke.

I watched that play a few times on DVR this morning and I wouldn't say he clearly stepped out. Very difficult to tell.
You're right, there was a ref in front of the play, and one behind. The behind ref is clearly looking down at TA's feet the whole way. As bad as big sky refs can be, I've gotta think they would've seen it if he stepped out.

First, the defender's shoe stepped on the line (black laces). Then, a white object came down on the line and at full speed looked like Troy's shoe. But in slo-mo it was the defender's hand wearing a white glove.
