Missoula (DP)--Merchants in Missoula have noticed a significant drop in sales of Griz related materials. Some are the brink of bankruptcy. Why the steep decline? Merchants are blaming it on the Pflu. Lack of product on the field is what merchants are hearing. Frank Maroono at the local Chevy dealer says that sales of maroon and silver cars have dropped off to the point he can’t give them away. “You know how those Griz fans were crazy about the color cars they want”, he said, “they want them to match the Almighty Griz and to match their license plates. Maybe Blue and Gold is the way to go”. Other dealers are reporting the same problems, however some did notice a slight uptick in orange and black vehicles in late November. Sellers of the Griz tail light stickers are having a tough go as well. T-shirts and other Griz apparel have been donated to charity or even sent overseas to be recycled into a new reusable toilet wipe. Even Horizon Air, which painted a plane in Maroon colors has decided to just repaint the plane to MSU colors since the color had faded to a dark pink. Horizon said that they should have listened to MSU fans in the first place. However, there is some good news for Missoula merchants, sales of TIVOS and DVR’s have skyrocketed so they can record and see what the other teams are doing.
