Warner re-signs with Cards

Post by SonomaCat » Wed Mar 04, 2009 3:02 pm

My prediction: He will be benched in favor of another QB before this contract expires (just as he has previously in his career).

I'm not sure many 49ers fans were all that excited about the notion of Warner coming to SF ... especially at those prices.

The 49ers are moving to an offense heavy on the running game, so it didn't really make all that much sense to look at Warner very seriously.

I am a diehard Niners fan and I didn't want him. That 23 million could be spent on bigger needs. How about a line to block for the QB and RB? How about some WR's to catch the passes? How about a NT or DE that can pressure the QB? How about a quality S? Only position the Niners are good at are the LBs and RB.

GO GRIZ!

My Cards are a lock for 3 straight Superbowl victories.

I'd be surprised if they make the playoffs next year ... even coming out of that weak division.

I bet that they make the playoffs, but go one and done.

I'd bet you a bottle of booze right now that the Cards do not make the Super Bowl next year. 8)

(of course they have a better shot than my Raiders...)
