Washington's Concussion Rule
Just saw a news clip where the state of Washington now requires that any high school football player suspected of having a concussion must have a doctor's release to get back on the field. It seems like an idea that probably has some background and merit, although you'd like to think any coach and parents would want to ensure a kid that had a concussion is healthy enough to play without jeopardizing his future. Any experience out there with coming back too soon after a concussion and how long might someone have to sit out to prevent this?

Re: Washington's Concussion Rule
The term concussion is highly subjective. I guess the definition in this case is loss of consciousness but that is not always the case. Sometimes the athlete does not loose consciousness during a concussion. Seems like a good rule but kind of hard to enforce unless you just go strictly by lose of consciousness.
