SUU not looking great against dii north Alabama.

10-3 north Alabama and they have looked the better team #-o
North Alabama is actually an FCS school now
I stand corrected. Regardless, in cedar city, I expected them to beat any unranked team handily. They just aren’t as good as I thought.
NA has a field goal to tie with 0:33 left in the game. It will be 38 yards. No gimme, but he should be able to put it through.

The SUU game had to be one of the more bizarre finishes I’ve seen in a while. I think they were robbed by those refs.

North Alabama was gifted with a slew (at least four) of pass inference penalties on their final drive, including two out of the last three plays. SUU intercepted two passes in the end zone in a row on that final drive but both were over turned by pass interference penalties. Just horrible calls.

The Vandals are horrible in their game. The are being humiliated by Fresno. Currently 72-13.

Final 79-13. Wow!

I’d love to hear some of their smug fans who still think they’re ready for Alabama spin this one.

I jumped the gun in a previous post. NA had 4th and 6 wth half a minute left and a field goal to tie. My cheat sheet says go for the tie. Then there’s that other option, the grizzy strategy, where you throw up a ton of bs and win the game on bad calls.

You beat me to it.

And this is what it looks like when an entire program completely gives up.

I guess scheduling is hard when you are that bad.

I'm not sure why South Dakota State scheduled Arkansas-Pine Bluff, or vice versa. A quick look at the power ratings shows SDSU 3rd from the top of the FCS, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff 3rd from the bottom. The 90-6 result was almost predictable.

On a related note, the 2nd to the bottom FCS team, Davidson of the Pioneer Conference, defeated Division III Guilford 91-61.

At least SDSU did not play Guilford.

NDSU thumping Delaware 38-0 in the 4th quarter (it was 35-0 at half)
Illinois State 14 Colorado State 6 at half.
EWU 14 Cal Poly 3 end of 1st.

EWU scored 70 on Cal Poly!!! Cal Poly being a running team uses a lot of clock making it hard to score a lot of points against them. EWU had 441 rushing yards (14.7 yard avg.). I hope we can hold them to 40. Not sure that is possible.

Cal Poly might also be horrible. But yeah, we're going to need every miracle to beat EWU.
