PSU would probably be winning this game right now if they could hold on to the ball.... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HOLD ON TO THE BALL!

That doesn't translate well to the NFL.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

God PSU is shooting themselves in the foot. Make it 34-42? Better let them run the kick back.

49-34 EWU with 5:00 to go.

When you're -4 in turnover margin, you're not winning many games. Outgained EWU just gave the ball away too many times.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Not sure why Cat fans were rooting for PSU, we really didn't want them to beat EWU as that would have meant no playoffs for us if God forbid we somehow lose today. At least that's what some of the experts were saying.

In answer to your question, I personally would have liked to see our kids who are playing for our school colors win the conference championship outright. As Eastern won, that's not going to happen and yes, most of us don't care to contemplate at this point in the season a potential loss to that other school...for a couple of reasons: (1. We firmly believe our kids have a better team. and (2. Just making the playoffs would be a tremendous let down emotionally for the kids.

Most of us wanted a chance to win an outright conference title today. A chance to back into the playoffs with a loss to the griz wasn't really a consideration.

Yeah, it's a Catch-22 situation. I can see both sides of it. The noble, brave thing is to root for PSU, which would also give the Bobcats more incentive to win today. The safe, practical thing was rooting for EWU, which gives MSU a safety net. The other factor is the Bobcats losing so badly today that they're still eliminated. I don't like thinking that way, but I also don't like not being honest with myself about the situation. Anyway, it's over now. The best MSU can do is a tie for the league. A big loss and a big NAU win could knock MSU out.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
