A few of these may have already been mentioned but...
Mat Seidensticker(sp) Shelby/UM - graduated from HS in 1995 I believe
Doug Hashley - Big Sandy/MSU - graduated from HS in 1977

Rod Smith - Medicine Lake/MSU (finished his college career in 1979 I believe)
Les Craft from Bozeman (graduated from HS in 1979)...I was thinking that he ended up going either to Kansas or K-State?
Craig Zanon (graduated in 1977) Kalispell/UM (didn't he also have a younger brother Scott that played?)
Dewey Kautzman - Billings Senior(1977)/MSU
Brian Morris - Missoula/UM
Rob Hurley -Ananconda/UM (didn't he have a brothe Scott who played for MSU?)
Carson Durr - Roberts/MSU
Mike Chavez - Browning/Heart Butte and UM

Re: D-1 Montana player Database
I don't see:
Ben Demers - Msla Sentinel (73) - UM
Kirk Rocheleau - Msla Sentinel (73) - UM (at least freshman year, but not certain of career)
Bryan Flaig - Msla Sentinel (73) - Played on MSU Freshman Bball team in addition to 4 years of Bobcat Football
Not sure - Steve Demers - Msla Sentinel (75 I think) and I believe played at least freshman year with Griz
Also - When Mike Lewis was in Missoula, there was only one high school and I'm pretty sure it was still called Missoula County HS (his brother played at Hellgate after the second school was opened)

Yes, he did. I don't think anyone has mentioned Danny Sullivan yet from Billings West, who played for MSU in the mid to late 90's.GRIZFNZ wrote:Kc McGowan Missoula big sky played for UM

Re: D-1 Montana player Database
Chris Rassmussen Butte High '85 then BYU. Chose BYU over Syracuse, among others. I think he played one year then injured while on mission.
Currently Austin Eastman from Billings Senior plays for Utah (walk-on), JR, stats for the season include 2 minutes PT, 1 rebound and 1 point

Re: D-1 Montana player Database
Jeff Epperly - The best Montana high school player everyone seems to have forgotten
Scott Hurley - Signed with MSU a week after Starner was hired. Starner needed players and took a chance. Came to MSU that fall over weight and out of shape expecting a starting position. Transfer after one year to a D-2 school.

Re: D-1 Montana player Database
Tim Minnehan from Chester played for the Bobcats one year in 81I believe. He was on the JV team (when they still had one) and was moved up to varsity when several varsity players were excused from the team. Tim didn't get a ton of minutes but, he got in several games. So you can call him a walk on? Tim passed away several months ago.

Scott Laird also played JV for the Cats, but I don't think he ever played a Varsity game.vike_king wrote:Tim Minnehan from Chester played for the Bobcats one year in 81I believe. Re: D-1 Montana player Database
Don Luce from Columbia Falls and Greg Harris I believe from Livingston played for the Cats 1968-69. Also Bob Crnkovich from Great Falls and Nick Fullerton Doug's brother from Hamilton played for the Cats the next year I believe. Also Gene Lewis, Mike's brother played for the Cats in that era also. How about Dean Kratovil from Billings in 1968. Tex Taylor from a class C school can't remember which. Don't forget Mick Durham! Scott Koeltzer Bozeman.

Re: D-1 Montana player Database
Didn't the Owsley kid who played with Nick Dissly on that great 2003 Bozeman team play for MSU for a year? Was it P.J. Owsley? And I remember a big kid (like 6-10?) from Butte who signed with MSU, maybe about 6-7 years ago, but I don't remember if he ever actually played. Was his name Edwards?

Re: D-1 Montana player Database
As age has set in my memory has gone south.....I think all info is correct.
There was a CAT Forward from Big Sandy, Doug Hashley (probably spelled it wrong), from the mid 70's. I remember him being quite a horse.
Played in the annual Big Sandy Softball tourney a couple of years and Hash would CRUSH the ball.....
